I like trucks that sound beefy. I have 6" straights on my autocar. When i took the muffler off of my a3, it just didnt sit right with me. i put a straight thru muffler on it . Perfect not loud, just sounds strong.
I havent gotten that far yet. Im waiting to see a 929 w/w setup . My Autocar was working that day and i always like to keep a tractor under the trailer when im packing it tight.
Krink545 Thank You for the information...Im sure my problem has to do with the interlock solenoid valve. When i first got the truck i could get it into low and back out , not easy but i could do it. The truck had so many air leaks it wouldnt hold enough air unless you were over 2000 rpm so...
Well my truck wouldnt engage the front axle. I ended up bypassing the air valve on the linkage to the transfer case. Now i can lock the front axle in. I got it into low range now i cant get it out. is there some sort of air lock. What is the button in the end of the t case shifter for. Any ideas ?
This is the truck i got from GL in VA. What a sweetheart, everything works. Everytime i get in this truck i smile just thinking i actually got something good back from the government.
I love my 5 tons. The relationship is stressed a little when i need to buy M939 parts. Boy can they see me coming. Not so in love with the guy who sold the truck to me either. I think im gonna buy a truck for parts. Any ideas ?
The first thing i do when i get a truck is pull the foam out of the seat back. The metal pan is concave. Much more comfortable, it wraps around your back. It adds quite a bit of leg room. Im 6' and 220.
