    Aircraft tugs / transports

The 5.9 Cummins is a great motor. Depending on wether it is a 12 valve or 24 valve and what kind of IP it has they can be made to do some stupid stuff. Check out my other play toy.

Yes welcome to the internet's best site holding the most knowledgable people pertaining to anything green (Myself not included, I'm new to the hobby). As mentioned above be careful around green vehicles, you can't have just one.

Road trip in the Ohio Storm

I couldn't refuse taking the Deuce out in the snow today either. I have the top off and just got done sandblasting it, so I suited up like the little kid on A Christmas Story and went on my way. A little cold at any speed over 20 but still a blast.

Is a Deuce a redneck truck?

Me too, I've always been looked as a redneck farm kid by everyone. Now everyone in my town knows me as the crazy redneck kid with the huge Army truck.

    Stuck deuce.. a long day...

I would think that the rear duals would spread the weight out more on snow or somewhat soft ground allowing you to get further without getting stuck. Don't know for sure, but just my 2cents

    need a fuel pump please

When I opened the cover up on my deuce there was a 20 amp fuse in there, so I just replaced it with another one. Then one day Doghead and Gimpyrobb pointed out that it is supposed to be a 4 amp slow blow, so I changed it to that.

Should a new fuel pump sound like a food processer?

With the bottom plate off I can move the impeller up and down probibly .100 in. should there be that much play in it? I noticed when I hooked it to power I could see the impeller drop down and hit the bottom plate for a second at start up and shutdown, during this time the pump made the sound...

Should a new fuel pump sound like a food processer?

I just took it out again and looked it over well. The bottom plate that covers the impeller was not seated fully in the recess, so I pressed it in and tightened up the screw. Then I noticed that the hose was too long and was pushing down on the pump outlet causing the pumping section to be...

Should a new fuel pump sound like a food processer?

I'm trying to bleed the air from the system, I did a filter change on new years eve which led me to find out that my pump was dead. Got a new pump put it in and thats where I am now. The pump is flowing fuel pretty well. I took the screw out of the top of the pump access panel and it flowed like...

Should a new fuel pump sound like a food processer?

I just put a new fuel pump in my truck this evening, and when I turned the switch to see if it was working I heard a sound like a food processer chopping up a pine tree coming from the fuel tank. It makes a grinding sound , but every once in a while the grinding sound will go away and it will be...

It's good to hear that another new guy had an uneventful trip. It really is a blast to drive these beasts, especially when everything goes right.
