Nice idea, was just considering something like this during the parade the other day. One question I had was why use the hooks at all and not just use the rubber rope like the regular top?

The operator's cab of a military towing vehicle hangs over the edge of the I-90/39 bridge over Highway 26 in the eastbound lane after an accident with a tractor/trailer rig. The vehicle struck the bridge railing, sending a shower on concrete chunks to the roadway below.
