Where to find a cheap CUCV for parts?
I'm keeping the faith considering I just found a running M35a2 for 1500 fairly close by just today(rockwells are overkill). Between 29 Palms, Camp Pendleton, China Lake, etc... we have a huge amount of military vehicles out here and people in SoCal (me included) are very impulsive and that works... -

I wonder If after I obtain one a take the parts I want if I could sell all the other stuff? Think I might be able to get $500 bucks or so for body, frame , Tcase, engine, etc..? Thats why I want to buy a complete non-op, I figure I can get one cheaper than just buying the axles from someone parting out. Even though GM 14 bolts are easy to score at most pick-a-parts, because we are on the border all the parts get grabed quick. And finding a good Dana 60 high pinion or... -

As you all know CUCVs are built like a brick @#$%house and can be found in running condition for $2000-$4000 all day long. I am planing on building a rock buggy and would like to find a non-runner to steal parts from, namely the axles, 14bolt and Dana 60 respectably and maybe the transmission... -

hundy is less than an hour from my buddies ranch. Definatley going to go check out his lot. I might opt to bid at auction myself if it will save me a bunch. I'm a welder by trade so I feel confident bobbing it and building a cage myself. Thanks for all the advice. -

Hi all, I'm new to the site and interested in maybe purchasing a Deuce and bobbing it. I'm a jeep guy and I love my wrangler, it is nimble and can fit thru narrow trails but offers little room for gear and passengers. I think that a bobbed deuce would be a vehicle that could cross a desert wash...
