it is not that much extra work to shorten down the original bed, I think it might be easier, You wont have to make any mounting points for the bed or anything like that. I didnt use mine because my deuce is a M109A3 it had a box on the back of it, There wasnt a bed. It is all pretty much what...
So I had to replace my tranny and the jack that i had was too short, so I improvised, I built a make shift hoist with some spare 2x4 steel and a ratchet strap. here are some pics

A little update
The paint isnt finished yet, i have not had much time lately to work on the truck, but i did remove the seats, I replaced the drivers seat with a springer and the passenger seat is my old box seat now, Hopefully I will be able to start the paint in the next week or so.:-P
So I was bord today and was tired of looking at my 105 trailers and then looking at my deuce with no bed on it, so with some jacks and a couple of fence posts and ratchet straps i got the bed on the deuce, it went smoothly with no problems, just like planned. So now i have a 3 color deuce it is...
I now have the soft top sitting on top of the deuce, i still have to take it all off again and sand it all down and paint it, i bought some Oak today to run between the bed and the frame. Here are some updated pictures.

Im going to keep that trailer together, the other one will be the bed for my deuce, i bought some paint to re paint my truck too, im going to start prep this week, im going to paint the interior first and then go from there. it will be three color desert camo :-P
