Use dielectric grease in all your fuses. This solved all of my fuse problems on my 84 Mercedes the 1009 is next.

Hey you are going to have a hard time finding a 24v stereo. I got on ebay and ordered a 24v to 12v dc transformer 15 amp($40) to suppy power for all my 12v stuff. Pulls off both batteries so you don't over current one.

See above about ebay. Mine is an Opek model vr15 15amps @12vdc from 24vdc. You probably won't find 24v/12v transformers at any local parts store. Maybe a truck stop. Ebay was an easy buy for me.
