RE: Re: RE: M37 - new here hiya ... need some advise please
Wow! She is a keeper but will need some loving.. One way to tell the difference in the transmission is to drive it.. The NP 420 is fully syncro 2nd through 4th,.. The outward appearance is different but easier to tell when sitting side...
I am not aware of the B1 bed differences? Can you explain? OD minds would like to know.. Man I sure would like to have some Canadian truck parts.. I like the trans.. very smooth, even better than the B1 trans.. I have been looking for a PTO for it for 5 years.. Just not out there.. I would love...
All I have to add is I am well aware of how much work something like this takes.. If I can pull permits and insurance to build a 10,000 square ft house while simultaniously doing 3 other houses, and keeping 4 employees inline combined with deligating to numorouse sub contractors I think running...
Hmmm.. Some of this is news to me Brian.. Not trying to be a stickler about it.. But my Canadian M37 has the same hood as all the others.. They were produced in the same plant here in Michigan just assembled at Dodge Canada.. To make room for the longer engine the radiator is pushed further...
RE: Piggy-Back?
I am sure if this was to come to fruition all insurance details and locations would have to be worked out between me and SS.. Just the same as done for the Fl SS Rally, the GA SS Rally, and the Haspin event.. We need more events early in the spring and swap meets in the winter...
RE: Rough, but restoreable
How is it "Clearly not a Canadian truck"? I own two 1957 to 1968 B1's and the frame numbers are still in the same spot??? This makes no sense to me? Out of the 6 trucks I own only two had the same number on the glovebox and frame.. Are you reffering to the radiator...
This would be great! I am not against that at all.. This is the reason for the survey.. Hell we might even get some cheesheads to come accross on the Ferry! So you would be willing to make it a SS event? We need more big events and swap meets in Michigan.. Up here we have the Fly Wheelers site...
RE: Re: RE: Survey! Northern Michigan event??
I have a few places and have not decided yet..As of now lets say it would be in the Boyne Falls to Vanderbilt area. Or northeast in the Pigeon river area.... This will change I am sure but thats what I am looking at for now.. Gaylord is close to the...
Re: RE: Survey! Northern Michigan event??
Well put a vote for maybe! Lansing and Flint ! Its not a drive by turkey shoot its a Steel Soldiers military vehicle get together.. :D
Wow! 13 views and no votes.. Not a good start.. Dont let the avatar scare you! I dont bite and only eat road kill.. So unless you get ran over while here you are safe.. And remember Deliverance was in the south! I am thinking for spring 2009 if I do it.. No bugs, bears are still sleepy,and...
The tires are a Euro, Nato, UN tread tire.. You see them allot on foriegn vehicles.. That could be a B1 but some of the early radio trucks M42's had the spare moved to the door to make room for radio equipement.. This was part of the M42 change order.. If its a B1 it should have the NP420 trans...
That one? What one you talking about? A GL trailer?
I have seen some of these sell in Cali.. Some have a generator for running the saw mounted on them.. I would like to see DDoyles for referance..We sure need a book on military trailers out there! hint hint...
If I was to have a SS event here in Northern Michigan who thinks they would come or would try to come? This would be held in the Tip of the Mit of lower Michigan.. I would provide a camping area, trail rides, swap meet area, and it will be within range of some decent motels.
I am just wondering...
Wow! Looks like a Baha race truck.. Well if you can give me the numbers off the frame I can tell you the year. If its a US made truck it is on the drivers side frame just in front of the steering box and front spring mount. If its a Canadian made truck "and it could be I see your in Isreal" its...
Very nice write up! I am so glad you made it home safe and you will not sleep with the fishes at the hand of a crazy band of pregnant woman.. :D
Did you hit the freezing fog? That stuff is the worst.. Starts to wieght the truck down and you have to go out and chip it off like a Liberty ship in...
Being a trailer ho I picked one of these up. I dont have it home yet but it looks very handy with that lift type thing on the back.. Has anyone operated this? Do they go to the ground? That saw will come in handy for me cutting log rips and pallet halves to feed my evaporator..
MEOWWWWW! Cat is out of the bag dudes! I have to say it! I told you so!! Happy days are over.. Just going to get worse.. As for resession over.. Well a new truck is 30K so a deuce that will burn anything you can find flammable is a good deal at 10k and under for most people...
Trailer ho over...
