    Low Oil Pressure starts

I've read the instructions and I could have sworn that's what I have been doing but I guess I've been releasing it too early. I'll give it a try again in a few days. At what pressure does the low oil Px light come on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Low Oil Pressure starts

So I've had my 802 for about a month. I've noticed that if I let it sit for 5-7 days and then go to start it, the starter will get the engine started and just as the engine tries to pick up speed it shuts down and illuminates the low oil pressure fault light. If I try and start it right away it...

    mep803 wireless starter circuit

Nice. If I didn't have to go manually switch the interlock over on the telephone poll I'd probably do something like this too. Might even make it with an Arduino board so I could program it to monitor the voltage and whatnot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

USMC Ground Expedient Refueling System - Any info?

It's similar to the connection for most aircraft equipped with pressure refueling connections, but it is way too small. At least it's smaller than any connection I've seen on any aircraft I've flown. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

House Voltage... Does it really matter?

So my house receives higher than normal voltage from the power company. Between 125-126 volts depending on which outlet you check and where it is on the property. That is over 250v on what should be 240v service. So, does it really matter? How does this happen? Can it be adjusted? (of course...

Transfer Switch Installation Costs - Your Opinion

Your setup looks almost as complicated as mine is gonna be! Also, think about this, in the age of smart meters, if you pull it off the power company is gonna find out and they may come snooping around to figure out why the meter dropped offline. Just a thought Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    thinking of GL auction

I won a MEP-802A on GL about two weeks ago. My high bid was something like $431 and so I paid $500 even out the door with taxes and buyers fees. Good news is it was well maintained with fresh fluids in it. All I had to do was replace a battery and it fired right up and is completely functional...

    MEP-802a Power troubles

Just an update: I took the K1 apart expecting to find some rust. In actuality, other than some very light corrosion it was spotless. I cleaned the contacts with some 0000 steel wool (the super fine stuff) and pulled out the gaskets and instead sealed it with automotive silicone (red stuff). That...

    MEP-802a Power troubles

I think I figured out the issue. Went through the troubleshooting procedures in the manuals and figured out this main relay is the issue. Hit it with an insulated screwdriver once or twice and now it works like a charm. Edit: sorry, I don't know how to post pictures. Edit2: figured it out!

    MEP-802a Power troubles

Thanks for the reply. No manual. I bought it of a gov auction website for only $500 total, out the door. The fact that this thing runs and does seem to be producing power makes me think I got a heck of a deal. I have looked through the manuals before when researching these gens before I bought...

    MEP-802a Power troubles

Hey Yall! New here and this is my first post. The website looks awesome and there is a lot of good info here. I just brought home my first 802 today from the auction warehouse. This thing is amazing. The outside is a little beat up as expected, but after a quick inspection it appears all fluids...
