Could very well be a TM error. Take a gander at them when you get it out.

I don't remember. But its in the book. Look it up. If you are really going to place your trust in this gen set, you need to get real smart on the equipment. Reading the book from cover to cover 2-3 times is not a bad idea.

All military gen sets are underrated.

Unles the lines are seeping, I would not worry about them too much. I would put hose clamps on them, but the hose can come later.

Engine speed plate looks good to me. The only way to unbend the sheet metal is to take it off. If the door does not seal properly, the engine will not cool properly, and will over heat. So do a good job on re bending it.

I fixed that today just need to figure out where to set the thumb screw to, I'm guessing in the start position as far as it would go. I'm going to refer to TM for that. Are you talking about the engine stop position? Sometimes its good to use proper nomenclature, or show pictures. If you are...

Go for it. You are on the right track. Fix what you can and then see what you have left.

50 foot hose is a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way to pump fuel. The normal hose issued with gen sets is about 25 foot if I remember right. If you are going to use one that long, best set the fuel can up high, with the mouth at the lowest point. We had fuel can holders. Three legged things...

Laugh if you want, but I still write up shortcomings and deficiencies just like I did on ten billion TI sheets. A friend of mine created an exact copy in EXCEL, and I used it for years when I worked as a contractor here in Germany.

Rusty, the tool thing cost two people a hand slap with my broom handle. One of them was going to take me to court. Kept screaming that he was going to sue me!! But that was the end of it. Germans, especially east germans feel that all tools belong to everyone in the world. Not long after that...

I once hit a jerk on the hand with a broom stick, who was fooling with my parts. Never happened again. Of course I never received a Christmas card from him again. I was devastated.

Rusty, I took all my parts manuals, and I am talking about 30-35 manuals, and put them in plastic pages. Keeps them clean, and you can use them in the rain. something i often had to do. Even when it was a procedure or repair I had done 100 times before, the book were next to the job. If i...

The manuals for this gen set are in the forum. And if not, let me know, I have all of them. I can post them in the forum. Gunzy hit it on the head. Read the manuals from cover to cover. Operator and maintenance. And don't forget the parts manual. What can you learn from the parts manual? Well...
