Might have something to do with the basic problems of owning one.
First thing a lot of people have to do is completely rewire them, having a crap electrical system in the vehicle seems to really annoy people.
I have had that experience with every Chevy I have owned so I will never own one...
Install a knuckle boom behind the cab to arch over the cab and open the hood.
OR just buy a wrecker and install a lift point on the hood in place of a handle.
The M820A2 has a 2 step fold down ladder on the front drivers side bumper. I am debating installing a length of catwalk between the grill and bumper. Balancing on the frame extensions or fender while lifting the hood about got me a couple months ago.
My wife insists on bringing the kids instead of locking them in a closet with a bag of dog food.

Alternators can be bad from the box or go bad 10 or 10 thousand down the road. They have no way of knowing if an alternator is going to " GO " bad they only know if its bad when they sell it.
The same with Gaskets they can blow brand new or last for ever.
Does it suck ohh heck yeah it does...
Some GL lots will know the bidders and pass along a message to the buyer that there is someone interested in purchasing from them.
Someone on here once received an EMAIL from GL to that effect.
