the only issue to watchout for when mounting the condenser under the hood, is that the wires for the head light don't hit the condenser, I learned on one that it wall hit. If the condenser is too wide.

battery box under hood here you go, www.hummerpartsguy.com has them on sale I believe. All you have to do is drill a couple of holes to mount it.

That seems like a lot to me, I have used a company to do the frame of some of my hmmwv for me and it only take a couple hours to do. I pay 150 an hour for the guy to come out to my shop. I would call some one else for another quote.
