Car Quest found a gasket that should supersede the Napa 5070 part. Should be here tomorrow. Just finished draining the housings so that I can bring them in to check the seal against the housing. Also fit a section of clear tubing that fits the petcock nicely so.i can drain directly into a 5...
Well I can attest that the Carquest filters do not have the correct size seal.
I being stupid and wanting to keep my promise to my son, attempted to reuse the original gasket and I leak like the Exxon Valdez.
Thanks guys. Second stupid question, what is inside the filter housing on the right frame rail and is a single housing? And where would I find a replacement for that filter ?

Well, slight hiccup with them. They canceled my policy even after looking at the vin plate because they felt I made up the vin number. Was able to get it reinstated but it was a pain.
Deduced it was the switch. All the circuits had continuity until switch got involved. Was able to jump circuits and made the lights come on. Disassembled the switch and tweaked some contacts, this resulted in intermittent light functionality.
Drove the deuce to a friend's farm today and developed an issue. The right turn signal stopped working as well the brake lights. Brake lights are flashing momentarily when first applied then no more light for the remainder of the pedal travel. Any thoughts? Left turn signal and running light are...
I haven't yet, I got it stuck against the oil filters and was figuring out the wiggles to get the motor out when I had to go help the wife. Hopefully Friday I'll have it out entirely
