    Hmmwv fuel system issue

@NCarolinadawg Drop your fuel tank out and clean it out. My 1986 M998 from Bragg would do the same thing. I replaced all kinds of stuff, but still had the issue. Definitely pull your fuel filter and replace it, but drop that tank, clean it, and flush the lines. I took mine to a local shop...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Good eye, @ramdough, I have not yet rolled it. It will kill my shoulders (arthritis, pinched nerves, and a couple surgeries on my right shoulder), so I am waiting until I get all the wiring done before I chance taking myself out of action for a few days. I'll roll the whole of the cab at once...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Just have to wire the cameras, interior blue "blackout" LED lights, might as well throw in some white under-frame LEDs to see under the truck - better put them on their own switch too. Meh; nothing big, right?

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

The seats haven't been in the truck for over five (5) days and basically I have done everything and more - with the exception of leather seats - to my "humble utilitarian M-1081", now names Achilles after reaching consensus with my teenage daughter. I am fully immersed in the rabbit hole. I...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Only about 200' of wiring, but this is just utilitarian... Nothing excessive here... Replace / add door gaskets / seals, power center has independent cutoff switch, cargo bed cam with have independent power switch, but this is all only a few bucks here and there, and purely utilitarian...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

My gauge dimmer was toast so I bypassed it, leaving a hole in the dash. 🤔A keyed ignition is only $12 and adds peace of mind, so I'll just do that and keep the push button start. It's not like I'm going overboard here...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

🤔I installed the dynamat material on the floor and ran wires... I have this enormous 1/2" neoprene exercise mat I was going to use on the other truck to cover the floor, but the OEM mats were in good shape. Why waste that? I have a roll of 1/8" rubber mat lying around too; should put that over...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Since I'm going to be running wires, might as well get out the unused LED bars leftover from my previous projects... I could get a few more to supplement them for pretty cheap and pick up some wire too... 🤔 I'll do a 30 cal can as a power center to keep things "simple" But I might as well do...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

I've got the door and wall panels off and insulated; I've got four (4) Rockford Fosgate 6" speakers that aren't being used; no reason to let them sit in a box... Hmmm, a Bluetooth car head unit is only $25... I'll need to power it and run wires for the speakers, so some wiring isn't a big deal.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Might as well put down surplus insulation - just to not waste it... If I get just one (1) more box, I can do the entire cab 🤔 If I'm doing the ceiling, might as well get some 150 mil insulation too...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Gosh, the interior needs work too; take out driver and co-driver boxes & get rid of the flaking rubberized spray-on crap.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Paint is good, right? I'll just freshen up the paint, maybe put a lil spin on the camo pattern and black out the frame...

Selling my M1078 "Atlas" that I had gotten pretty far into fixing up with LED lights bars on the sides, front, and LED cubes in the rear and cargo bed - all independently operated on switches, installed leather seats etc. Selling that one because I realized my wife wasn't going to actually go...

Bought an M35A2, with a unique addition

I compromised and bought a 2k lb capacity jib crane and a 2,400 lb capacity 12v winch to mount to it that I'll get a base adapter fabricated and welded to so I can relocate it around the bed of an LMTV in the inserts for such. Still working on my M-1081 restomod project, but will get around to...

Bought an M35A2, with a unique addition

Easy answer: all my personal belongings for relocation if I buy a crane.

Bought an M35A2, with a unique addition

Sorry, let met qualify that statement [lament]; I want a crane, but I also want to stay married.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2021 - July VOTE HERE!

Made the trip to New Bern (~45 mi away). Set the transmission to top out at 5th gear and pedal to the metal: a blistering 36 mph. Obviously the truck was very popular, as I accrued a significant fan club behind me. The leather seats a deceptively comfortable, I must admit. Beautiful morning...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2021 - July VOTE HERE!

Full disclosure, for the lettering on ATLAS, I had contemplated removing the "T" and just parking it and leaving it as "ALAS"... Issues abound(ed) with the truck; the engine was strong, but the transmission in the truck left me stranded a few miles outside of Fayetteville. [Insert heavy tow fee...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2021 - July VOTE HERE!

Had some struggles with Atlas, but I think he's got a good shot at a second lease on life. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/1995-m1078-stewart-stevenson-lmtv.203819/#post-2372170
