I'm guessing there's clearance with the hood raised. That's a beefy bumper for sure

    Joining the HMMWV club

Welcome from Oklahoma, and may you have many years of enjoyment out of your new MV. Let your wife drive it a time or two and maybe she'll warm up to it. In fact, that's why I have 2 HMMWVs now, a His and a Hers.

Thank you for the advise WF, I spent last summer re-wiring a FLU419 (a daunting task which expanded my vocabulary considerably) so it looks like I'm in for another treat

Raised the hood on my older M998 and noticed the electrical connection next to the windshield washer reservoir is dilapidating . I'm looking for suggestions? For now I'm going to clean it up and put a worm clamp around it to keep it in place

Yeah, it would have been great if forethought in the design would have allowed for removable teeth. Most of the time I find the front bucket teeth to be a hindrance in manicuring any type of dirtwork

    FLU419 Fuel Injection Pump Removal

Open up the bleed valve on the filter housing and pump the primer to see if you get fuel to that point. If you do, you can narrow down the possibilities

    FLU419 Fuel Injection Pump Removal

Agreed. The guys at RRAD are given 30 minutes to get a unit started or it is listed as a non runner at auction. The problem may very well be prior to the injector pump

    FLU419 Fuel Injection Pump Removal

It would be great if you post photos and notes on the removal and installation of the pump, on this thread. I have not had the need to remove a pump, but luck may have it one of mine may go out next week or next month

Diesel fuel dropped to $1.95 locally today. I loaded the SEE bucket with 5 gal scepter fuel cans and made a run to the Quick Trip. It's been a long time since I've paid under 2 bucks a gallon on diesel fuel

FKAM Looking at your photo attachment, what did you use to pin your radio deck to the bottom brackets? Is that some sort of quick disconnect locking pin?
