New guy from mn with m35a2

I also do the same. I can get dot 3 for next to nothing. I just go over the brakes every other year and put in new dot 3.

    Different deuce transmission shifter shapes?

I have both myself. I believe the straight shifter is from the gassers.

    Air-O-Manual Steering

I love the air assist I have on both of my trucks. Idk if I'd pay retail for one, both trucks came with it. I know a lot of people knock it but it is a huge improvement over arm strong steering. I also like your idea on the switch. I had a great pucker moment around a twisty bend today. Plus I'd...

    Question about Deuce Mileage

Glad you made it home in one piece. One of the best mods I've done to my deuces is a remote brake reservoir. Makes checking the brake fluid easy every time you get in the truck. If you need hand changing the wheel cylinder let me know.

Yes, that was one of mine. Just sold it last weekend, I still have a few. Kublo's is my first go to for parts. If you ever want to meet up or need a hand let me know.

I'm just up the road from you. I saw that truck on CL last year. You missed the Norwich car show a couple weekends ago, a bunch of us meet up there with our trucks. Kublo's is your best bet your surplus, great prices and Kenny is great to deal with.

    Can't change fan belt

I just changed my belts the other day with 46.5" belts. I just used a small bar to pry them onto the alternator pulley

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Check to see if a local auto parts store makes fuel lines. I had a hydraulic line shop make me up new fuel lines

    Question about Deuce Mileage

Nyhowie, I'm about a half hour south of you, just south of Hamilton. I've got 2 deuces on super singles. I get about 10 mpg and I try to keep above a half tank. Below a quarter tank it can get tricky on the hills and can be a pain to restart.

A2 vs A3 crashed in the driveway-the aftermath

That doesn't look all that bad, I bet you could straighten some of that sheet metal back out. I bought a wrecked deuce last year for parts and ended up putting it back together. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?11592y6-I-did-a-bad-bad-thing&highlight= Wildchild really totalled out...

I did a bad bad thing

Thanks, it was in great shape other than the front end being smashed and a bunch of broken parts. Having a title was a big plus too. Here is my set of Mrap rims.

    Got My First Deuce!!!

I feel the same way. Sure it's easy enough just to go buy a new part. I hate wasting a part if it's something I can tinker with and fix easily enough.

I did a bad bad thing

Put some troop seats in today. Wood is pretty beat, will put new wood on this spring. Have few a few things to do to get back on the road this spring. Have a bad brake switch on one of the air packs to replace once it warms up. Some how manged to nail something with drivers side axle boot that...

    Red's deuce/camper project

Can't wait to see how this turns out. I'm still figuring out a place to put my warn 18k in back of the truck.

    Super-Single spare tire swing/gate mount!

I just spaced mine out 3/4 from the frame. I didn't have to elongate the slot but did use the "wrong" end with a washer like you did.

    Super-Single spare tire swing/gate mount!

I got the idea from you and Tm america. Did you space your mount out from the frame?

    Hi all, some random questions...

The axles do vent but the vents do get gummed up or fail pushing out the gear oil. I just tied all my vents together and ran a line into the engine bay.

    Super-Single spare tire swing/gate mount!

395 fully aired up in stock location. I use my bed too much to keep a spare in it.
