I love the air assist I have on both of my trucks. Idk if I'd pay retail for one, both trucks came with it. I know a lot of people knock it but it is a huge improvement over arm strong steering. I also like your idea on the switch. I had a great pucker moment around a twisty bend today. Plus I'd...
Glad you made it home in one piece. One of the best mods I've done to my deuces is a remote brake reservoir. Makes checking the brake fluid easy every time you get in the truck. If you need hand changing the wheel cylinder let me know.
Yes, that was one of mine. Just sold it last weekend, I still have a few. Kublo's is my first go to for parts. If you ever want to meet up or need a hand let me know.
I'm just up the road from you. I saw that truck on CL last year. You missed the Norwich car show a couple weekends ago, a bunch of us meet up there with our trucks. Kublo's is your best bet your surplus, great prices and Kenny is great to deal with.
Nyhowie, I'm about a half hour south of you, just south of Hamilton. I've got 2 deuces on super singles. I get about 10 mpg and I try to keep above a half tank. Below a quarter tank it can get tricky on the hills and can be a pain to restart.
That doesn't look all that bad, I bet you could straighten some of that sheet metal back out. I bought a wrecked deuce last year for parts and ended up putting it back together. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?11592y6-I-did-a-bad-bad-thing&highlight=
Wildchild really totalled out...
Thanks, it was in great shape other than the front end being smashed and a bunch of broken parts. Having a title was a big plus too. Here is my set of Mrap rims.
Put some troop seats in today. Wood is pretty beat, will put new wood on this spring. Have few a few things to do to get back on the road this spring. Have a bad brake switch on one of the air packs to replace once it warms up. Some how manged to nail something with drivers side axle boot that...
The axles do vent but the vents do get gummed up or fail pushing out the gear oil. I just tied all my vents together and ran a line into the engine bay.
