    vendor for dog bones

Wreckermans right, I got a used one from him! All kidding aside, It's a PITA to do. If you have the money go new. The last time I looked I was able to find new ends for a bout $50 a piece. I didn't go far down that road before I got some from someone that was bobbing theirs. Search recent...

Please don't be this guy(pics inside)

The more I mature, the more I think before doing. The last stupid thing I did could have gone wrong and my dumb ass brought the kids along for the ride. The towing capacity of the 1/2 ton Suburban is around 7700LB, with a weight distributing hitch and trailer brakes and I had neither. The M51...

    M818

I agree and not to take too far off topic, but ABS is a pet peeve of mine. I've been in situations that ABS would have made it worse and also can remember in low traction situations "it might of helped", I'll never know about the "it might of helped"

    Prohibition on active auction links

I support the rule too. Someone with no horse in the race, can bring attention to something that someone else is bidding on. Free advertising for a particular item for free. This rule also works for the auction, as it keeps us from discussing defects. When a friend of mine was bidding on his...

Deuce horn blows on its own

Disconnect at the bottom of the steering box, by unplugging or cutting if you can't find a connector to unplug. When you do this make sure you tape something to the wire you pull out to make it easier to fish back through when you put it back. Get some sort of spell check.

Deuce horn blows on its own

Welcome to the site, I agree with Welder Sam. The circuit is activated when grounded, so anywhere the insulation on the wire is compromised it could contact the chassis and close the circuit intermittently. The only problem I've had has been in the button itself.

The Steel Soldiers 1st Annual Fund Drive Benefiting Our Wounded Veterans

I used to donate more, to a couple of things, but my income is 1/2-1/3 of what it was, my daughter will be graduating from High School and going to college, at this point I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to be able to do all that and keep the Deuce, the Barret and maybe the wife.

    Front axle boot repair

I'm curious too, I replaced mine a couple of years ago with the non zipper, non silicone ones from OD Iron and they didn't last but a little over a year. I don't want to do it every year and a half.

    M35 Frame Numbers

Carnac can help. He identified mine as a REO, they had the original contract in the early 50's

    Air Compressor Pulley

I had to remove the bolt and use a puller to the whole thing off to separate in a vice. I had to work on mine for a few days heating, beating and soaking. Good Luck!

    Battery charger warning

We have the same charger at work(made in Mexico), it works fine for what we use it for. We use it for charging golf cart batteries up enough for the automatic chargers to take over, the automatic chargers won't turn on if the pack voltage is too low. I also have 6/12v of the same brand that I...

    VARSOL Where to find?

I've bought it a few years ago at the Ace Hardware, it was very expensive! Now I just use the stuff out of my mystery barrel of old gas, Diesel and oil.

Please don't be this guy(pics inside)

He/she isn't guilty till we get the pic's on the road. I wouldn't recommend it, but they may have just been getting it off base to retrieve later with a bigger vehicle. The older I get the more I question the safety of things like this, I have towed some questionable loads in my time, but...
