    A very ODD electrical problem

does the lamp socket look a little cruddy? usually you can get a voltage readig with a meter because of the spiked test leads, but the rounded bump on the bulb may not make a good connection thru the crud ( making a high resistance connection)...just a thought..

    Wheel questions - super singles

H2L, Did you happen to check the rims to see if they were round horizontally and vertically before mounting them...I'm wondering if they have any eccentricity to them that is amplified by the bigger tires, I just got a set from Stazworks, they have some egg shape to them, I need to call John...

10 lug 2-piece wheel to 6 lug hub adapter

Spicer and I had talked about using a 1/2 or 3/4" plate between the rim halves, with the bolts that hold the rims together holding the insert in, then have that plate water-jetted with the rockwell 6 lug pattern and the outer "beadlock pattern", a little clearance radius of the 10 bolt pattern...

    Center "chunk" carrier torque values

on the rockwell axle, there are 8 bolts, 9/16-18 grade 8, that hold the 2 halves of the final drive gear assembly together, the locker is in the middle of these two halves...it's not a ouverson part, it's stock rockwell...so, if it was a grade 5, it would be 120-150 ft-lbs....I can't seem to...

Anyone in Michigan tell me about your experience at SOS

I got a M105 trailer from GL, the 97 and an official letter from GL "transferring" ownership to me was all it took in CA, same as buying a car from a used car dealership that doesn't bother to go to the DMV & officially transfer the title to themselves...

    Center "chunk" carrier torque values

Ok, so I'm installing an Ouverson locker, I get to the re-assembly part, reading TM-9-2320-209-34-2-1 page 10-90...frame 22 It says... 5. line up center punch marks on carrier case assembly(7) and helical gear(1) and put them together.... 6. put in eight bolts(8) 7. put on eight nuts (9)...

    duramax/allison into M715...Installation in progress

DS, thanks, but stock intercooler looks to be cast and too big for my use...if it was a nice TIG'd aluminum piece, then maybe, but that's the Banks' intercooler....stock GM intercooler is roughly 42" across, I need something under 32", but thanks for thinking of me...

    duramax/allison into M715...Installation in progress

stock duramax rad is bigger (by about 10", but thinner)than M715, but smaller than 8.1L stock GM rad, same with dodge cummins, diesels seem to have smaller radiators, so I'm figuring the diesel will run cooler, not hotter, i may be wrong, but that's the impression, either way, lots of guys have...

    duramax/allison into M715...Installation in progress

I got the 2WD allison with the motor, along with the computers...I'm working out radiator (I think a 396 chevelle rad with tranny cooler fits in the 715 spot) with stock duramax tranny cooler and custom spearco alum intercooler now...going to put 2 optima's hooked to stock duramax wiring.
