I have the exact same problem, and its weird because the M52 is the only thing they bother... Weird, since it doesnt sit any longer than any of the other 3 vehicles in the same building. I think there is something to be said about all the rough surfaces that are overhanging in the dry around...

Anyone have a lead on a top canvas for a 52/54? Mine is so dry rotted that you cant get it wedged around the windshield without ripping it. Ive babied it and now its just kinda :P. I hate to have to give $450 to $500 plus the cargo canvas I still need... :(

I dont know a whole lot about this truck as far as original markings, etc. I can tell you that it came from Letterkenny, and has markings that can be seen through the paint on the bumper that said "Property of XXXXX" and I cant make out the last letters. I wish I knew more. As for who built...

Well its been a bit of work, but all worth it. Made all my own bracketry, used gr. 8 hardware throughout (new), and couldnt be happier. Now its on to a little bodywork and a fresh coat of paint. Only thing it needs mechanically now is a new wiper motor on the pass. side. Have a look:
