When I checked out the system on their website they had versions built to suit all size trucks.
Everything from one ton to the large 20 to 40 ton applications.
I would assume it would all be dependant on how long you wanted the Jack legs to be.
My M135 doesn't sit very high so I would only...
Darn it! Strykerperry beat me to it. I plan on building a roll off system for my rig. That way I can switch from camper to box to service rig to flat deck when ever I want.
If I can find the info I downloaded about the system I an looking at building and slightly modifying to work for my needs...
Not sure if it would be possible to put a larger rotor that has LOTS of venting holes in it on the pinion to reduce its melt down time.
Say a 15 inch rotor like what is used on the disc brake conversion. Just punch a bunch of extra holes in it.
It was also mentioned in other threads the ideas...
My ride is still pretty much moth balled at the moment. Still battling with the local motor vehicle registry here to try and get the original truck registered and insurance. If that route turns out to be a total no go I have an international s1600 donor truck that I may do a cab swap onto. Then...
Hey Atomic, how is the build going?
Did your tranny survive or was it actually toasted from the tow home?
Nobody mentioned it to you I don't believe, but if you are wanting to single your rig you can use M35a3 rims. modified Hemmt rims or any variant.
You do not need to search for M135 rims...
I have heard tell that if you used to run with the old NDT tread bias tires then go to the radial 395's it can be a little unnerving.
I believe the radials like to drift a little on th corners due to the softer side wall than the stiffer bias ply.
I may be wrong on that but I think I...
The epic Rambo road block Jimmy is still around?!
It's close by?!
Is it hidden in a barn near Hope, were the movie was filmed?
I would love to own that piece of awesome movie history!
Keep the transfer case. It is independant from the tranny. Biggest problem will be your drive shaft between tranny to transfer case. That's as easy as having a shop make you one to the length you need with stock yoke and what ever corresponding yoke you need to mate to your tranny.
Biggest most...
Would love to have 5 ton Rockwell axles or original 4x4 ten bolt axles from the international so that I could run MRAP rims with out having to modify.
Of course like you money dictates what and how the built goes.
I am going to be doing something simular. I am doing a cross hybrid of an international 1600/1700 with my 1956 M135. Use the frame from the international and welding deck and the cab and axles with transfer case from my M135. The power steering set up on the international will be a nice...
For civilian use it gets you past the pesky laws of must have bumpers front and rear of a vehicle. Of course I am in Canada So state laws may differ. Bumperetts are considered the minimum allowance for vehicles to have for rear bumpers unless your deck has a large plate dropping down to hitch...
I would think it shouldn't be t hard to take the steering arm you have to a fabrication shop and have them build you one. As long as you go with all your precise measurements, I figure it should be fairly easy and not to expensive.
Other option is having one cast from a foundry.
Send me a deuce and I will see about getting one made and put it through some heavy use. Both highway and off road use. Loaded and unloaded. Have a ranch which needs lots of land cleared plus my job is a half hour drive away every day at 100km an hour speeds or 60mph for you Americans.
Could...
Have a question for you Jersyhicks.
When you made your custom drop frame for your hot rod did you use the original from a M135? Or is it a complete one off?
How do you go about getting registration and insurance for such a beast?
I have been thinking about a bit of a drop frame for my project...
Well you have been running your rig for a bit now. I have a question. How do you feel your rig performs?
I am looking to swap my cummins in to my rig soon and thinking about 1600 tires as well.
My curiosity lays in how your cummins handles the 1600 tires. Do you feel your 6bt struggles to...
Thanks muchly.
I hope to get some real work done on my truck in this next year.
I filed for bankruptcy this week so that will free up some money that my family desperately needs. Kinda depressing when you are constantly forced to choose between getting enough groceries between paychecks or...
Got the new to me international home this week. Took some doing. After having to get the previous owner to track down the registration papers he lost, then having to get him to get the truck transferred into his name from the owner he bought it from so that I could get it in my name and be able...
