    Maxspeed3's Deuce Build Thread

I'm going to be using Natural Cedar 1"x 4"x 12' from Menards (there like $5.50 each). I decided to go with the ones from Menards because they acturally lay their wood flat when its being stored instead of Home Depot leaning theirs against the walls to warp to ****..... There plained and sanded...

    Maxspeed3's Deuce Build Thread

Thanks! I'm saving them for the last part so when I paint the truck I won't have to worry about over spray. I'm going to try to measure them up this weekend and draw the CAD file up!

    Maxspeed3's Deuce Build Thread

So I tried the pressure sanding and it does work better then I thought. There is so many layers of paint on her that it is going to take longer than I expected but its going to be worth the wait. However with the kit from Northern tool the hose for the attachment is way too long so I had to cut...

    Maxspeed3's Deuce Build Thread

WEEK 1: Update of my build thread! Last night I got the pressure washer at Menards. I un-boxed it and got it all ready to go (put gas, oil, and all of the other bits on it) and tried it out on my car with the cleaning tip. It works better then I expected. I cant wait to give the old girl a...

    Maxspeed3's Deuce Build Thread

So its finally starting. This Friday will mark the 1st official day that I have actually had time to start working on the deuce this spring. The list of to-do's keeps on growing and growing. The first task on the list is to give her a fresh oil change and fuel filter change. Then the real fun...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Got her out of the barn and fixed the high idle issue that I was having. Turns out when I did the clutch work I bumped the linkage bracket on the underside of the accelerator pedal. All it took was to loosen the 2 bolts just enough to make the bracket with the throttle linkage be parallel to the...

    pyrometer sender unit

Thank you sir for the info! I was planning on taping on the exhaust manifold, because the idea of small metal shavings going into the turbo scares me...... I'm still not sure if I want to do 2 taps like your doing (one on each side of the turbo) or just stick with one. If I do end up doing 2 I...

    pyrometer sender unit

Thanks for the link, I was looking for something like this for my deuce. My only question is on there webpage on the drop down menu for "selecting mounting type" which one should I pick? There are 8 choices... I know I'd have to drill and tap on the turbo, I just want to make sure I pick the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Haven't done much lately with winter and all. However I did go and start her up today to run and charge the batteries. Shes been sitting for a month now and its been pretty cold here in Minnesota. She turned right over on the second try. No starting fluid. Just cranked for 4 or so seconds and...

    Front Mount Intercooler?

Has anybody toyed with the idea of adding a front mount intercooler to their deuce? Something like you'd see on a turbo charged car. It would definitely help with heat-soak and power out put. Although is not really nessary, just an idea that popped into my head. :D

    M25A2 Throttle Cable Adjustment

Can anybody steer me in the right direction for adjusting the throttle cable on an M35A2. Mine is idling at about 1000-1200 rpms. I searched in the TM's for a while and couldn't find anything. The fuel filters are newer (I haven't tried to drain them yet, to see if that fixes the problem) Here's...

    Pulled the transmission today!!!

Clutch isn't too bad to do. If you have an engine hoist it makes life a heck of a lot easier. And do it on a hard surface, concrete or asphalt.... I made the mistake of doing mine on grass and its a pain to move the hoist once the transmission is hooked up... I didn't do my main seal because...

    blinkers not working

I didn't want to start a new thread as I am having somewhat the same issue with my truck. The turn signals work, flashers, and the headlights work, but when I hit the switch on the floor to turn the high beams on the headlights shut off... Also my brake lights don't work when the pedal is...
