    questions on buying a hummer?

Hummer is civilian only. Started off as the AM General Hummer and then sometime after GM bought the rights to the hummer name it became the Hummer H1 in the early 2000s. The basics are the same. the older the Hummer the closer to a Humvee it will be. My 1995 Hummer is similar to an A2 Humvee but...

they didn't need to be replaced. the dealer just wanted easy money to replace them. warranty fraud was common with Hummer dealers kind of like insurance fraud.

    Hmmwv

AM General took a loss with a lot of H1s. there are a lot of H1s out there that have had more warranty work done than the buying price (from the dealer no less, not how much the dealer paid for the H1). back in 2004 I would go off roading each month with my dad in his 2001 H1. and the ball...

    H2 Wheels on M1101?

I do not have an M1101/2 but if the hub is similar to a Humvee/H1s then you're going to need to bore out the hole for the hub in the H2 wheels since they are too small.

Military Vehicle Get Together & Ride Along

You list your location for your profile as 'United States', no location in title or post. I think a location would help other than people trying to guess from snow on your MV and a pixellated license plate.

Q on installing thicker ballistic windshield glass

if the parts you're speaking of are the ones I'm thinking of then they are to prevent the hood from smashing through the windshield and possibly decapitating the passengers inside.

BTM = Brake Throttle Modulation For Humvees/Hummers when you lose traction and can not make it up/over an obstacle you lightly press on the brake. this allows the worm gears in the torsen (torque sensing) differentials act like a limited slip differential putting power to transger power to the...

Driving on the freeway, stopped at a mcdonalds. came out to see, liquid spots under neath my truck near the fuel tank, thought it was fuel. decided to keep going since I ran it for 5 minutes idling without it leaking. stopped again about hour later when the transmission started acting up...

No I had a problem with the cooling loop inside the case. the transmission was pumping its fluid into the case. fixed that by bypassing the cooling loop. thought I drained enough to make it not overfilled. apparently I was wrong. it was overfilled by like two quarts still somehow.

hahaha, too bad she prolly wouldn't make it to Azusa. I was driving her for an hour on the freeway. pulled over to use the bathroom when I saw the case was smoking and leaking. drained some fluid and it's burnt with shavings in it.
