I am adding an adjustable channel to my trailer so I can use an adjustable lunette. When ordering, it seems that a 3 inch lunette is the standard. Is that the proper size for our trucks? Thanks!

What can cause a timing gear to break like that?

I have just about decided that I should have the truck delivered to a local mechanic rather than to my house. While I know I could remove the front cover and repair a shear key, or even replace the IP, anything more involved would probably be too much for my experience level with these engines...

The site rep may have been referring to the timing gear, which drives the IP gear.

Yikes, a forklift big enough to load a 5-ton sounds like damage waiting to happen. I can make the trip to the base if that is the best thing to do. If so, I'll take everything I might need to get it started and on the trailer. I'd consider driving it home, 282 miles, but I've seen too many...
