I just snapped a bunch of detailed photos when I was in Kuwait last week. I have pics of the M1151w/B1 M1151w/B3 and M1151 with a frag7 kit.

I know all about the safety issues as I road in one of these with the Frag5 kit on a daily basis. I plan on doing a quick escape windshield if I do the armor package. But keep in mind that this vehicles is not being designed to go into combat. it is a show vehicles and will seldom see the open...

Have all the stuff from that site already. But unless you have a plastic forming machine just doesnt look right. To me at least. So I am just going to try and find some de-activated ones.

Almost all of them though are not the specific ones I am looking to build. Im wanting the new composite type LVOSS launcher not the older metal tube style.

Older ones have the 6.2L, Most now have a 6.5L turbocharged. parts are NOT easy to locate. Ebay is usually the first place I look when I need a part. Also prices on parts are pretty high. Just paid $1000 for a full ECV hood/grille Assembly. I have seen some decent runners for about $22k lately...

They won't let me have it, I already asked haha J. Austin is a hummer suspension guru. He will come up with something good.

Yep, It already has a 6.6L Duramax in it. And I am looking at some different suspension upgrades, I have been talking with J. Austin Fab. about strengthening the suspension.

Hey you never know! hahaha No I mainly want it for use at shows n maybe movies stuff and what not. I would do it for the added value and authenticity of the vehicle. Not to get shot at :wink:

Agreed. As cool as it is and even if it has paperwork, I feel like Uncle Sam might still come knocking. I don't really think they want anyone knowing how to defeat the FRAG5 kit.

I plan on turning my project HMMWV into an M1151. As most you know, armor survivability kit's are not really avail. to us normal folks, making it a little more difficult to build an M1151. So I have been talking with a buddy of mine who owns a local CNC shop about making some doors and body...

I tried three different times to build these and it just never turned out the way I wanted. I may come back to it when i find some real launchers to model off of. Not a ton of pictures out there and I need to see it in real life :/

I have heard Wheco in Pasco, WA has parts. Never followed up on it however.

Thats why I'm saying it was "pulled" not sold :mrgreen: I just dint know the legality of selling that thing to a civy outright.
