Registering a Deuce in Ohio issues.

I have registered an M1078 and a M 923 in ohio both without any question. Both were registered as commercial. I sold the M923 last month and the new owner registered near Cincinnati soon after without issue. Try another BMV office.

    LMTV power increase

Sound like a nice setup, any idea on the HP you are achieving? I would expect with the fuel turned up that much a significant increase. Did you need to also make any changes on the governor?

Thanks again, I can't wait to getting the turbo swapped. High speed gears will be next.

    LMTV power increase

Hi Wheelspinner, Thanks for the feedback, I am happy to hear the governor doesn't need adjusted. The android valve you are referring to is it the valve on the governor that has the line that runs to the front top of the engine which senses the intake boost pressure? Did you just disconnect...

    LMTV power increase

Hello, I searched and found a few threads but nothing with all the details. I am looking to increase the HP of my Cat 3116 powered LMTV. The engine is currently rated at 225HP and I want to upgrade to the 290HP level of the FMTV. I did some comparison of the parts manuals etc between the two...

    lmtv air brake leak

Did some more digging, the valve is made by bendix and its called an inversion valve and as you mentioned it is part of the parking brake system. Here is some more info.

    lmtv air brake leak

Here is a screenshot of the parts TM, looks like a check valve as well as whats being called a plug valve. I have replaced check valves and they are commonly available, never checked into a plug valve but i suspect it is available. Usually can be found at NAPA, truck parts stores and online.

CTIS schrader valve and kneeling valve assembly

Here are the pics of the kneeling valve disassembled along with the box for the replacement regular 90deg connector. The part is still available from spicer and any truck parts store which deals in Spicer parts can order. I ordered mine via Truck Pro in Columbus Ohio. Regarding the kneeling...

CTIS schrader valve and kneeling valve assembly

I have tried unsuccessfully to repair the kneeling valve by disassembling and replacing the o ring. I will dig one out tomorrow and post some pictures. I replaced mine with the standard 90deg elbow used on the rear. I was able to have the local truck parts store order them.

    Wheel Covers / Rim Protectors

How do you access the Schrader valve if you want to check the tire pressure? On mine I had to add another hole since the original oval hole didn’t align with the CTIS valve

    Wheelspinner's M1078

I am looking to do the turbo swap as well, do you know what was involved in the tune? Is it just the fuel settings or is there also adjustments needed in the governor. Comparing the parts manual it looked like there are few differences in the governor between the 225 and 290hp spec, wasn’t sure...

    LMTV CTIS Question

Yes you should be able to run the 2 lines behind the heater box and out above the accel pedal then run to the manual valve and regulator. You could also run the lines out through the left side front panel of the heater box similar to how the air lines run to the parking brake valve. I have the...

LMTV Air Conditioner AC Main Unit Gen1 and Gen2 Details

Here is a couple of drawings I found in an AC thread that was posted a few years ago. Hopefully these help out. The first one is the drawing with Red Dot part numbers and has 4 pages, the second is the circuit diagram.

    LED Replacement Light Questions

Regarding the marker lights, I purchased the bottom pictured option from Vehicle Safety Supply for arond $15 each. I believe these are the correct lights used on the later trucks that had LED. They come in either tan or green with red or amber lens and have the correct military wiring connectors.

Odyssey 6TL Battery Mounting Question. Anyone tried swapping to 8D AGM batteries?

Aernan thanks for the info, 3 of the 4 batteries check out ok, the forth is bad not sure why only this one failed, the CCA is very low, not sure there is any way to recover. I know it is recommended to replace the batteries together so I will probably just run 2 for now and potentially switch...

Odyssey 6TL Battery Mounting Question. Anyone tried swapping to 8D AGM batteries?

Looks like one of my 4 6TL batteries is bad. They are the lead acid type and all four have 2009 date codes so I should be happy they lasted this long. I am in the process of checking the other 3, so far the second one I checked is still good I have reviewed a bunch of old battery threads...

Is the CTIS angle valve serviceable

The o ring seals on the smooth part of the stem, hand tight is fine.

Is the CTIS angle valve serviceable

Hopefully the repaired elbow continues to hold air, I gave up on mine and used the new elbows due to continued leaks. I have had good luck buying the CTIS parts new from Dana via the local truck parts store. They also have been helpful with the part numbers.

    Tire rotation amd wear?

I don't think a difference in wear level between the front and rear tires will cause your symptom. Generally the front tires will always wear faster than the rear due to the higher constant load, higher percentage of braking at the front and turning. Have you checked the wear on the u joints and...

    FMTV High Speed Gears

Do you mind sharing where you picked them up from and know if more are available. I haven’t found any reasonable close. Thanks.
