Thanks to customsmith for extra effort

What do you mean by 'cross compatible'? I do know one M1022 pump can be used to replace one M720 pump. The fittings match. On my M720 I had to weld another bracket on the reservoir to flip it upside down so it fit better. Still had to make an extension to mount the pump higher to work. The...

Thanks to customsmith for extra effort

From my observation of sales for all dolly sets you won't find many dealers willing to carry spare parts. The dolly sets go for junk prices so it probably doesn't pay to keep parts with such limited market potential. I paid $170 for my M720 and I see a lot of dollys that never get a bid...

Thanks to customsmith for extra effort

After I made the deal with customsmith I found that Harbor Freight has an air powered hydraulic pump that is similar but at over a hundred bucks on sale was much more expensive. Still, a useful item. Thanks to customsmith throwing these on his truck in Georgia and making the trek to...

Thanks to customsmith for extra effort

Hey Ryan, Thanks Ryan for the great deal and going those extra miles to deliver on two Hydraulic pump assemblies for M1022 dolly set! They work great. It is amazing to find such hard to find parts at a cost I can afford. I will be replacing my two hand operated pumps on my M720 dolly with...

    M720 Hook Up Points

Yes, but with log bunks in the middle. The sketch is looking up at the connection. The olive color represents the M720, the grey matches the diagonal arm and the transparent part shows how the connection will be. If anyone is interested in the Sketchup file I can PM it. The design is...

    M720 Hook Up Points

I am interested in the design of the bottom mount. If a picture of the inside is possible it would help me a lot. The width of the bottom hook is 5.5" so I hope to see how the mount is gouged out to receive the bottom hook. Connecting rivet or bolt diameter would give me an idea of the...

    Lugs OVERTIGHTENED

Very good explanation KsM715! You are an excellent teacher! I wonder if this is taught formally. It should be.

    Lugs OVERTIGHTENED

When I encounter a bolt that is too hard to easily remove, I try to tighten it a bit more, then try to remove again. Sometimes this helps, most times not. I don't understand why it works but it does.

Small log trailer from M720 dolly set?

Thanks for the pointer on the M1061 trailer. I looked at a nice LAUNDRY UNIT, TRAILER MOUNTED, MODEL M85 (which uses the M1061 trailer) that recently sold in California for about $2k. They are very heavy built at 5850 lbs for their stated 5 ton load capacity. I am puzzled at how heavy they...

Small log trailer from M720 dolly set?

I might opt for using the load bars to simplify my conversion to log dolly if the price is right.

It worked for me after day 62. I told them GL could cancel after 60 work days. I sent emails up the chain and got action within a week.

Small log trailer from M720 dolly set?

I have made a decision to use the M720! Got one that looked like it has never been used since the shipping box which contains hoses etc is still strapped to it. When I inspected there was some easily repaired damage on the lunette stop and a flat tire. Most in the lot did not sell so it...

Small log trailer from M720 dolly set?

Found bed height is 37" on this site. I don't have a logsa account so I guess a tech manual is out of my reach. Thanks to all for the great info on this site!

Small log trailer from M720 dolly set?

Thanks maddawg308. Looks like a good option but I still want to explore the 'creative' process. What is the bed height? Is a M-85 the same as M1061? Can someone point me to online tech order on the trailers themselves?

Small log trailer from M720 dolly set?

Very good point! If I make the log pallet connection the same as S-280 shelter then I can use the M720 to test my pallet. I can always get the larger M832 later if I need more capacity.

Anyone have info on the M32K-4A?

A quote from govmnt source: 'Trailer characteristics include: capacity 8,000 lbs, weight 2500 lbs, length 220 inches, width 75 ins, deck height 38 ins, 7.50x16 ten ply FOD free tires. The trailer is a four wheel, towable, flat bed unit constructed of light weight aluminum. Two center bed...

Small log trailer from M720 dolly set?

Thanks for clearing up my confusion on the lower brackets! The first image showing lifting lips is from the tech manual for the M832. The second image shows my current sketch of a log pallet to attach to an M832. Would the lower bracket be similar to what I show? If so, it would be fairly...
