    Air wipers are not working

I just got home to look and I have the plastic bodied motors. I have not had time to look at them yet. Anyone have a source for metal bodied motors in case I decide to replace them?

    Air wipers are not working

As I work through the problems on my newly acquired deuce then next problem is my wipers do not work. The drivers side wiper will come across but not go back and the passenger side doesn’t move at all. I have searched the forum and not found the answer I am looking for. How do I go about...

    Locked rear axles

So if I have locking hubs and a Detroit locker and the hubs are in the unlocked position will the Detroit locker be "unlocked" or are Detroit lockers "locked" all the time regardless of if you have locking hubs or not?

    Locked rear axles

Yeah I wouldn't mind looking at your bookmarks. I am needing to replace the boots on the front end of my deuce and will rebuild the front end while I am in there. If I am thinking about adding a locking diff. should I wait and add the diff. and rebuild it all at the same time?

    Single axle long bed deuce?

Yeah I agree. If it wasn't for all the work I would cut the stock bed down and bob it.

    Single axle long bed deuce?

Yeah just for looks. I don't mind the look of a bobbed deuce with cut down original bed but have though long and hard about it but don't think I have what it takes to get the bed off, cut a section out of it and get it welded back together square. I am very capable with a torch and welder but...

    Locked rear axles

So I am a newbie to deuces if I put say a Grizzly or Detroit locker in the front and I have an air shift t-case and the front wheel drive is not engaged with the locker in the front be disengaged? Or do you have to add locking hubs to unlock the locker? I am thinking I would like to have a...

    Single axle long bed deuce?

I was looking around the web and came across what CC Surplus is calling a long bed bobbed deuce. I have attached a picture. It says it has the full length 12' bed on it but has a single axle. I am assuming from what I can see in the pictures they used a set of either front deuce springs or...

    Fuel Leak Identification?

Just an update. The leak was coming from the 12 point bolt on the side of the HH. I have a spare engine and pulled the 12 point bolt out of that HH and swapped them out and it fixed my leak. Thanks for the help guys!

    Fuel Leak Identification?

I am still trying to fix the leaks on my newly acquired deuce. The first issue was the FDC. I have since bypassed it and solved my first leak. I did not realize I had another one until today. I have taken a picture of the area the leak is coming from. I have checked all the fitting I plugged to...

    Primary Fuel Filter Fitting Help/Identification

I am switching my primary fuel filter over to a spin on using a filter head like some of the guys have done before. I went the cheap route instead of buying one of the kits. I can not get the fittings off either side of the primary filter head. Can anyone tell me what kind of fittings these are...

Should I clean the fuel tank? If so what's the best method?

I am about to change the primary and secondary fuelfilters on my truck I purchased a few weeks ago. I was thinking it would be agood idea to drain the tank when I do and try to clean out any debris and or sedimentthat might have accumulated over the last 47 years. Is this something thatwould be...

Whats your thoughts on spin on primary and secondary fuel filters?

Thank you guys for the input. I guess that might explain why I don't see much on the spin on secondary fuel filter. I had already decided to do the oil filters but was unsure about fuel. I also plan on only running diesel fuel through it. Are any online vendors better than the next for buying...

Whats your thoughts on spin on primary and secondary fuel filters?

Like the title says what are your thoughts on a spin on primary and secondary fuel filter adaptors? I have searched the forum and find where some people are using the primary but don't see much mention of people using the secondary filter adaptors. I am a new deuce owner and will be switching to...

Anyone know someone to do mechanic work/diagnosis on a deuce in Oklahoma?

So I'm learning as I go. This may be a stupid question but can someone tell me what the lines are coming from and what they are going to so I have a better understanding of what I am looking at?

Anyone know someone to do mechanic work/diagnosis on a deuce in Oklahoma?

I got it a lot cleaner under the truck today. I found two fuel leaks. The two connections shown above are leaking a steady drip while the truck is running. I tried tightening the connections but was unable to get them any tighter. What is the best way to fix this? Should I but a new t connection...
