Most auto machine shops will have a blast cabinet. Many years of being on truck forums and working hard to help pass on good info has had a lot to do with it maybe. Thanks

I might as well add a few tid bits. The battle to get "onslaught" ready for the parade in December was just that, A BATTLE. The exhaust manifold was a train wreck and had been let go to the point that any real hope of salvage was just not there. We did manage to get the pair (int/exh)...

Seems that finding manifolds for these is like finding "Chicken teeth" Been looking since early fall and did find a new old stock intake, but exhausts just don't seem to show up. Finally, after much snooping online and poking around I got hold of a fella in Oklahoma that thought he had a good...

We will be there to cheer you folks on as you cruise through the parade.:tank: Good bet it will be the only 60 year old Army Iron there. A real "Blast-outta-da-past" If ya get it up to 88 MPH will it take ya back to 1954 ??:grd:

Sure does. Thumper and crew did a right spiffy job on getting the old Army Iron looking sweet.

    Getting Bear’s Trucks Going

You need at least a couple psi pressure to be sure the bowl fills. Full gravity with the jug upside down should be enough, but a true siphon is likely not gonna do it.

    Getting Bear’s Trucks Going

Yank the fuel line off and make sure there is a good fuel delivery into a can. The accelerator pump (power piston) may be to blame. Did you replace it with a fresh one when you did the kit ??? A bad PP will cause those symptoms. Snowy

    Getting Bear’s Trucks Going

Oh yessssss, the joys of wrenching on 60 year old iron toys. As I have told Thumper a time or two, take the time to get the right stuff and do it right the first time even if it takes a day or two longer. Good luck with the beast Snowy

Thumper was off catching up on honey dooooo's and things, so I get the call to check the antifreeze and make any needed changes as we got some cold weather coming soon. We had bought some green juice yesterday but daylight and ambition left us. I drained out a gallon and a half of the slop...

    M211 crew cab crusade

Thumper mentioned that the thing was still running fast, but at least it does not require half choke and painstaking effort to keep the old girl running. My thought at this point is that the previous owner/s had messed with the idle speed screw on the carb over the years trying to compensate...

    M211 crew cab crusade

Thumper got here about an hour and a half ago and is getting the manifold and goodies bolted back onto the beast. His time is limited tonight, but I'll bet he gets it close. Good bet he will be along with some pix, maybe later. Carry on troops

    Early Deuce belt question

Hi troops When Thumper and I were working on the Deuce yesterday I happened to notice that the fan and generator belt is the wrong one and the one that's on it is wayyyyyy too long and the Gen is at the end of the adjustment. Plus I can easily spin the fan. Does anyone know the part...

Oh yeah buddy. And guess who's job it is to try and salvage this cast iron mess  Getting some stuff rigged up on the Bridgeport was an exercise is craftiness and a dash of "Rube Goldberg" tossed in to make it taste good. The previous owner as Thumper mentioned, ahhhh yeah buddy. The...
