During Desert Storm, I noticed that our Service and Recovery Platoon put duals on front of one of their deuces. I saw it off and on rolling through the desert during the ground war. Wish I could have gotten a picture of it. It did look kinda neat.

Not only that, but once asked, any dealership would look like crap if they turned down the opportunity to help out a local museum. It would be bad PR for their business. (Just the little gears turning in my mind) :wink::roll::-D

I would think one of these could tow it without any problems. Get with a local dealer, and maybe he would loan a operator and tractor out for advertising. They like to show off their goods.

I'm planning on replacing the floor in the van body on my M109, and before I put down the new floor, I'll want to spray on a good underliner to the crossmembers and the bottom of my floor. Any recommendations as to what type of undercoating I should use??

Question number 1 and 3 go together. That terminal is called a circuit breaker. And to answer question 3, there should be a lead that goes from the battery to that breaker. That will power your 24volt system. Back to question 1. You may find an additional wire dangling there off the cable...

Searching through the related TM's , I can't find the electrical schematics for the M109 van body. Can anyone direct me to a source. Looking for both the 115volt and 24 volt system. Thanks!

Like I said, we had these type mirrors on our dueces when I was in the Army, and I really liked them better then. Thanks for your suggestion though. ;-):grin:

Well, here are some pictures of the mirror assy. They are complete minus the window hinge bracket. I also included a picture of my new mirrors. Of course they need paint, but I remember the motor pool switching to this style on just about all our dueces, and I always liked this style better...
