    Water in transmission, question about cleaning.

    If this is a running vehicle put the diesel in it and run it around a little. If not I would wait till it is running. Do this several times as the rust will be dislodged by running and you dont want that floating around in there.

    clogged water jacket in block

    I have a backflush tool that hooks up to the lower hose and has fittings for water and air hoses. You run the water till the block is full then turn on the air. Absent this tool you might plumb a water hose to the lower rad hose and a air hose to the block drain.
