Big Block, smallblock, diesel, gas Chevrolet GMC share the same bell. Buick,OLds, Pontiac and Cadillac have a different bell. Im not sure but I thought that the diesel engine had a different stall converter, but i may be off. I know the 4.3 will swap, but i cant say on the 2.8

This is not a cheap swap!!! 1st of all, 4.56's in both a GM and a Dana uses a unique carrier, with a split at 4.11, so if you want 3.73's you must swap out the carrier as well. As mentioned, 3.73,4.11,4.56 are the best ratio's that will match, other than deeper. Gm went the 3.42 route, Dana...

I have replaced the entire cluster, pigtail and both sending units. The old cluster will not even allow gauges to be installed since there is no provision for them. Problem im having is that the circuit board does not correspond with the dummy light version, ie where water temp gets signal...

I want to convert my stock instrument cluster to a factory GM one with gauges. I have a few wires that will not match with the new cluster. Is there any diagrams that show what the wires go to? Water temp works, fuel works, Gen 1 works, gen 2 not connected yet(NEED WIRE COLOR VERIFICATION)...

Ive always wondered with the beefy d60 front, 14b rear, lockers, 1 ton springs, etc, etc why wasnt the np205 transfer case just installed as basic m1008 equipment, rather than the PTO units? Im not knocking the 208 case, but it would seem that this is a dead give away when such a strong np205...
