    OD Iron's Remote Oil Filter...A How To

    In response to Cranetrucks comment, I don't know if it would work, but when we change oil in our aircraft we have a tool that punctures the bottom of the filter and has a drain tube to empty the filter oil into the bucket. It really helps to keep things clean. Just a thought. Greg

    Need a set of door hinge halves

    I've put this in the classified section, thought I'd do a fast track as well. I bought a new door for the deuce but I need a set of hinge halves that bolt onto the cab. The door has new halves on it already. I've called Memphis and they want a forturne, Saturn Surplus only has the door side...

    Transporting M105A2

    Got my 105 as a package deal with the deuce. I only made one mistake, hooked up the air lines backwards. Towed it 150 miles with no ill effects. I guess God does look out for children and fools. Since then, towed it a few times (with the brakes hooked up correctly). The only thing noticable...

    Anyone near Gaffney, SC?

    Wow. Just up the road in Spartanburg. I don't think my M35 is in show condition, but would like to come anyway. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to see if I can work out getting that day off.

    how much for used M35 parts?

    I purchased a set of repro windshields and frames with the weather stripping for $105.00 each. And picked up a new driver's side door, less the glass for $50.00. Hope this helps Greg

    using ATF as a fuel?

    I guess I never really thought about the color change... But, with only a quart per 50 gallons, would there be much of a color change at all? Still new to the multifuel, so I'm open to ideas. I was also told by the local parts store guy that Seafoam was a good additive. Haven't read the...

    using ATF as a fuel?

    My deuce has been running exclusively on sumped Jet A and 100 Low lead avgas for the past 6 months. Now, I've only gone through three tankfuls, but it starts great and only smokes slightly. I have added a quart of MMO to the fuel a time or two. Spoke with an old airforce mechanic and he said...

    Air governor under hood driving me CRAZY

    Mine was doing that when I had an air leak at the low air pressure switch. Once the leak was fixed, the cycling stopped. I think the problem was the leak kept the air pressure right at the point where the governor kicked in. Hope that helps. Greg

    Looking at getting a Deuce, how much did you get yours for?

    RE: Looking at getting a Deuce, how much did you get yours f Got mine from a surplus liquidator in Columbia(his spare personal truck). Paid 2000.00 for it and a 1 1/2 ton trailer and two bed canvases to boot. Drove it home to Spartanburg (110 miles). Since then I've had to put...

    Radials plus innertubes

    IMHO no. Unless the blow out was a result of loss of air pressure due to the dry rot. It would seem that when the sidewall became weak, the thin inner tube would not help much to reinforce it. Just my two cents. Greg Jackson

    Severly wounded old soldiers

    Air brake questions

    RE: hissing noise MO-mudder, thats funny. My deuce did that same thing. In fact if you have it runnung and get under the dash, the valve with the two electrical connections coming from it, you will see a small hole on the right side(passenger). If you put your finger over it and air is coming...
