It did end up working just fine. I did need someone in the tow vehicle during backing up to turn or hold the wheel to keep the towed M1083s wheels in check.

The crack was from an over torqued oil pan bolt most likely. It went right from the bolt hole up about 2.5 inches behind the starter. Found a person who does that sort of skilled welding. Had to pull starter and oil dipstick tube. Pull the power steering res, drop the oil pan. Then he was able...

I think some spirit must be pissed at me. So Had the crack in my block fixed last week.. Drove it about 150miles no problem. Park it and now its dead. The starter I had bought was acting crazy only clicking sometimes and other times starting fine. So I got a new starter. Just clicks... Battery...

I grabbed a set of those from amazon. But todays problem is the working 1078 is dead now so Ive got to figure that out tomorrow.

Ya ive built up a pile of those from having these M1082 trailers to move around with other trucks.

The TM appears to be TM 10-4520-269-13&P. The 259 version pops up but not the 269. NSN 4520-01-646-3010)

Anyone have the TM for one of those model numbers. I had one delivered today and am trying to figure out if it can be ran without the remote as well as normal operation and maintenance.

What issues are you seeing. It seems rare to have bought 4 units and all to have the same issue. Mine didn’t work either but I got it up going.

If the lines filled with air it has to push the air somewhere. It looks like the purge engages the fuel pump and sends fuel back to the tank. So that wait the air is out of the lines except for the line to the nozzle. Mine wouldn’t fill the bowl until I held purge. In cool down the arc is going...

Mine took about 20-30 seconds of holding purge the first time to get it pumping. I left the side access open so I could see it fill up the water separator on the fuel filter. But the only clogged line I had was about 6' from the nozzle in the burner compartment. So you might have lines clogged...

I went in through the heat port. Removed the burner, removed the nozzle. Nozzle was pretty clean and not clogged. Found a clog in the fuel line about even with where they brazed that stainless cover onto it. Put it all back together and works like a champ. I did notice mine doesnt have what...

Is the burner best accessed by removing the top of the unit? I have arc in the sight glass so I think I’m in the same spot as the OP and need to clean that pump to nozzle line like you said.
