    M35a2 engine problem

    It blew out a grapefruit size hole right under the turbocharger. I picked up a piece of piston off the road when I pulled over. Believe it or not, it will still start! I will try to figuire out how to post pics later. I've already started the search for another powerplant, hope to find one...

    :x UPDATE #2. I made it a whole 7 miles before a piston came thru the block! Made the rest of the trip on the back of a wrecker, oh well. Needless to say, I am in the market for a replacement engine.

    I have decided to wait until the next round of GL auctions (next week), to see if I can snag one of them. If I don't find one , I will try to deal on the one with the engine issue. Thanks for all the advice.

    I should have mentioned, but I am pretty sure the in-tank pump was working. It sounds like the general feeling is the problem is more serious than air in the lines. I may have to pass on this one.

    Thanks for the replys! The leak was obvious, but not squirting out, and it did appear to be fuel. SSG ROCK, all my experience is with gas engines, and it did sound like it was at the front of the engine under the valve cover. The engine was so loud, it was hard to tell exactly what was going...

    I thought it was in high. It will lug down under load. If it was a gas engine, I'd say it was down a cylinder.
