    Any upcoming events

It's worth a few hour drive. Last year there were probably 25 or so vehicles, including a M5 Stuart that was giving rides around the fairgrounds. And that was just the first year of the event.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2023 - August VOTE HERE!

I've only owned the M274 Mule I submitted for MV of the month for 3 weeks. I saw it advertised on Steel Soldiers almost 2 months ago- reached out to the seller, and didn't hear back for a few weeks. I was disappointed, convinced it had already sold, but then received a phone call from...

What did you do to your trailer today.

I bought an adapter from Erik's military surplus, along with a bracket, and attached it to my M116 frame. LED lights were already on the trailer and they work great with my pick up truck. Pulled it 90 miles to the farm and 90 miles back loaded with a m274 Mule and the trailer performed great...

I need to find cooler friends! Got any more pics of it?

    Neglected M151a1

Well, not really neglected. It's been stored inside for about 18 of the 19 years I've owned it. I've put about 8K miles on it in those years. Drove it quite a bit for the first year or two after I got it, but then had two kids- and only got the 151 out on sunny days to drive in the...

    Transfer of guardianship

Mike apparently loaded the Mule in the trailer using a couple of 2x10 pine ramps. Kenny joked when I picked it up that Mike had bigger balls than he to use these short wooden ramps. (I wasn't going to try it either!) I want to use the trailer to it's potential, so I bought a set of aluminum...

MV of the Month August 2023

I submit my newly acquired M274a4 Mule. Hauled it back from Georgia to Kentucky last weekend after meeting a fantastic SS member who is helping Microjeep's widow move on with life. My boys have both wanted to drive it every night this week, and this Mule is now helping pass on some military...

What is this? And what was it designed to haul?

These trailers don't look big enough for a "buggy" sized vehicle, but probably are large enough for a UTV or something.

What is this? And what was it designed to haul?

Gov Planet Trailer SOLD Looks like it's pretty specialized. Anyone seen one before?

    Transfer of guardianship

From talking with Kenny, I wish I'd known him. Do you know how long he'd had the Mule, or where he got it? Just trying to piece together some history since the data plate is blank.

    Transfer of guardianship

My son (12 at the time) got a chance to ride a Mule last October at a local MV show. That was right after riding in a M5 Stuart, so the Mule didn't make quite the impression it should have. :) But both of my boys have had a chance to drive around the yard already. Had to replace the...

KILROY Chapter MVPA - Shepherdsville, KY 20-21 Oct

This was a cool show last year- I'd guess 40-50 vehicles in attendance, plus tank rides in a M3 Stuart for a donation. The Bullitt Co fairgrounds sets right next to I-65, just about 20 minutes south of Louisville.

    Transfer of guardianship

Seems more appropriate than "bought a mule". After spending a good part of the morning with forum member Recovry4x4, I am the new caretaker of MicroJeep's m274. I don't really know what I got myself into, as I've never owned a Mule. :) But I had two boys that talked me into it. I'm pretty...

    M151 - Possible first MV?

Could be a FAV clone, or could be a true FAV. The basket on the left fender and the rear fender mounted seats aren't easy to come by though, plus it has a pintle. I'm thinking unless the underbody is rotted out, that's well worth the 3K asking price.

Critique possible new 151A1 for a Mutt newby?

My M151A1 is 2N9283, BUDD SN# 52749, engine SN67766, all believed to be correct. (Dare I say original?) Just some numbers to compare to yours. Based on the difference between my BUDD tag and yours, your engine serial number is close enough to be correct also. The contract number is a little...

Good to see another local with some OD! I'm also in Elizabethtown. You may see me around town some when the weather is nice.

    Tires for mutt

I have Dayton Timberline M/T on my M151. I think they're out of production too, but any type of M/T tire would work great for them. http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL615/4020916/23612160/405621866.jpg

    M416 & M101 tire retrofit

I replaced the NDT on my M151A1 with 215/85/16 11 years ago. I run them tubeless and have never had a leak. (Wheels are the same as the M416.) I've had the same old set of NDT on my M416 for these same 11 years without any problems. Although I do have to add air a few times a year. The...

Carnac, in the time you've been doing this, have there been any trucks come back with results that stand out as exceptionally interesting?
