hey buddie, I don't know if you have a Sprague transfer case ?? but on my m-51 I tapped into the reverse line on my t-case. put a t in the line and a brake light switch from a mack on it. had to run a hot wire to it from the batt, and a wire all the way to the rear to the lights.

I've been thinking of doing that very thing myself. been losing fluid for 14 yrs, no visible leaks though. I just put fluid in it before I go anywhere,or every three to four weeks.

hey ,if u have to, u can make one if you have both ends. just pick up a universal speedometer cable at you're parts store. cut it to the right length drill out the ends and stuff you're cable into them with a good amount of j b weld. did mine 10 years ago and still works. if you put the cable...

when I disappear for any length of time I take a battery out, or at least disconnect one

u might try to find something that weighs a couple ton, to put on the back to smooth the ride out. bobtailing in that will be a backbreaker. good luck.

if the yoke has a groove worn it , you're going to need what they call a " speedy sleeve " a good truck shop can set u up, but they are going to have to mic. the yoke to give u the right one.

check the plugs at the headlights. mine were like yours and figured out the wires were crossed'

check the exhaust ports . those mud hornets like to plug those suckers up. found out mine was plugged up when there was torrential downpour at 45 mph. a little scary for sure.

I've been using 26 inches of broom handle for years and it never lies to me.
