Cut open coolant filter from the deuce

Thanks. I really appreciate it! It will save me a lot of time trying to find it :D

Cut open coolant filter from the deuce

I know this is a little bit of an old thread but I was wondering if anyone happened to have found a filter assembly at NAPA that does the job? I have been searching the site, and have read how other members have installed similar filters, but none describe how they did it and what they used...

Who has the oldest military Vehicle on SS

I second that! Oldest I got is a 51-52 (can't remember exactly right now as I have too many trucks) M135 deuce.

    PTO Rebuild

As long as it is properly painted ;)

    Front mini light kit lights

I had to install a full set of clearance lights on my deuces to pass safety and be allowed to drive on the road. I used regular clearance lights with 24v bulbs. Later on if I can get my hands on a huge lot of the real M35 clearance lights I will see about switching them over. But that would mean...

    How about a new section

What are you talking about? There is no debate here. We all know which truck is better ;) Yeah I will have to agree. Political stuff just on one part of the site could migrate to another part of the site causing a lot of problems. I am on a few other sites that have sections like that and it...

    PTO Rebuild

Looks nice. Good job. Can't wait to see it mounted and the winch working its magic.

    Help me out here...

You would be better off looking for another type of army vehicle if you are looking to go fast. Anyone who owns army trucks will tell you that they were not designed to go fast, and making them go fast will either cause lots of damage to your truck, or to your wallet in upgrades!

    BIG Power Wagon

Pretty impressive to say the least.

    M-211 change over

Good to hear that you will bring the old girl back to life. I have an M135 and M211 and am very happy with them. Make sure to document your rebuild with pictures and posts here on the site. We always like to see these projects through. Post any other questions you may have :D

    M-211 change over

Unless the engine in the M211 is having problems, I wouldn't recommend it. Don't change it if it ain't broke. For the trouble it is going to give you, it would be easier and possibly cheaper just to get an M35. Don't forget that it is not only the engine you would have to change, but also the...

My Militarized DVD Player is Done - Pic's & Video

Cool project. Well designed and executed. Looks like it was meant to be there ;)

Have you ever had your tank dipped?

It is the same up here for the red diesel. Unless the vehicle is registered to a farm/quarry/etc you get a ticket. Testing is very rare but it happens. Best to not take a chance. Tickets start at $1,500 and can go up to $20,000, plus other fines. I had a friend driving a gas pickup truck that...

    1963 studebaker 109?

When they floated my M109, they had to dump all the air out of the tires to make it legal. Was 2" below maximum height on the drop deck tractor. Would be too bad to remove the box off a nice truck like that, but I am sure several members here would be interested in it if you really don't want it.

Why do i need a deuce? Cause their sweet!

Hello fellow Canadian. I am glad you are deciding on taking the deuce plunge. The biggest, and worst problem about buying a deuce is.........that one is not enough! I have 6 of them, and am always on the lookout for another :-D I will not bother to answer questions 1,2,3 & 5 because the other...

Big dude Fit in a m35?

Don't worry, you are not the only one. Army trucks never seem to have been made to fit big people in it. I am 6'1" and have a hell of a time driving my M37 as well as my knees are always in the steering wheel. My stomach is about 1" from the steering wheel when driving my M35/M109 and I don't...

    Caused an Accident Already

Thank god. When I read the title of the post, I thought the truck had gotten into an accident! Don't scare us like that  lol

Anyone know of any CDN trucks up north ??

You can import pretty much any military vehicle into Canada from the US as long as it is 25+ years old. I imported my M109A3 and M35A2 from the US with no problems at all. Everyone thinks that you can't do it, but it is doable and quite easy. You just have to do the regular 72hour declaration...

Anyone know of any CDN trucks up north ??

No, I haven't, but I know what you mean. As long as you get the trucks to pass a provincial safety check, then they are street legal. Even a Ferret scout car is street legal in Canada as long as you pass the regular safety check.

Anyone know of any CDN trucks up north ??

Guy I bought the trucks from is selling the combat rims with a 90-95% tire for $275 each, which is pretty darn cheap. I bought 2 extra tires/rims with the trucks ;) Yeah the MLVW's are pretty cool as they have a lot the US M35's do not have: -Automatic transmissions -Power steering -Heaters in...
