Looking for detailed pictures of level wind

I have not taken mine apart, is it bearings or bushings? A bushing you can just hone out a hair to clean it up then regrease and slap it back together. A bearing, well, you might luck out and be able to clean it up enough to get it moving again, but, if not, there should be a part number on the...

    wrecker accessory

I was under the impression that the M936 didn't have stake pockets, not sure why I was under that impression, but now that we got ours home I see that it does and I really like what you have come up with for moving around more safely on the deck, I would like to do something along the same lines...

To get it through the level wind, no. You can pull the bolts holding the cover thing off and lay the cable on the big pulley then put the cover back on. But to get it through the tensioner, yes unspool the cable or cut it like Ron said. If the cable needs grease anyway I would unspool it.

    M936 recovery

It's the timing cover, not the block (thank god). I'm wondering what would have caused it to bulge from the inside enough to crack the timing cover and break the little cover, yet the motor runs great.

    M936 recovery

I think it came from up north somewhere because of all the rust and the use of tire chains which were extremely rusty, and the compartment they were in is full of rust. One of the doors actually fell off because the hinge was rusted through, lucky it was in Csm davis's hand when it happened and...

    M936 recovery

We made it, finally. No major issues, did have a few minor ones though. First thing this morning I smashed the poo out of my finger, probably gonna loose that nail. Oil leak was found to be a cracked timing cover, more on that when I get some pics. Temp gauge stayed pegged like it was...
