Sound was one of reasons, the second was I crossed a river/creek last week to pull out a tree and the water was up to the winch in front, from what I know the diesel will work submurged as long as the intake is dry. Thanks for your input.

I wanted to trade a set of troop seats for it. I saw one on ebay NOS went for $90.00 I got home to late to get it. Hey thanks for the advise.

The origional hood suprisingly is not reinforced, just a crease up the middle. Does anyone know of anyone with a NOS hood. I have a new set of troop seats I would gladly trade for it. Any takers..?
