    Hello from KY

There are a bunch coming up on GL.....buyer beware. Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy.:cookoo:

Meridian, MS to San Diego, CA

Install a civilian seat on the drivers side at least. I had Neon Buckets in my M109 and it rode like a Caddy. If you go with the stock seat take a couple tubes of Prep H. Make sure the windshield wipers are good to go...carry extra blades.

What to expect to pay for "super single" tires

I drove an A3 back from South Carolina to AL for a fellow SS member and I liked the way it ran. The creature comforts (seat, electric wipers, etc) were nice but I still had to wear my hearing protectors. In my opinion, and I have been around deuces since 1972, the A3 was a good idea in theory...

    M60A3 night vision value

Armor. For people that got money.

    M60A3 night vision value

For an article like that it is hard to tell......as far as using it for its' intended purpose there are a lot cheaper and smaller NVS out there that will do the job better than the old technology (I have an old Russian one that is holding down space in my gun safe). As a collectors item it may...

New Deuce, no engine - $25.00

I want one to bob. It is surprising that in this politically correct, anti-gun mentality era they are still producing toys with firearms attached. I still have a 5 gallon bucket of Legos from when my kids were young.

    Anti Tank M1008s....no joke...

The only one getting screwed is the American taxpayer......many times the "sale" price is taken out of foreign aid we are already giving them. A smoke and mirrors numbers game. The taxpayer is getting a lot more bang for buck when GL sells stuff to guys like us.....at least a little goes back...

    Anti Tank M1008s....no joke...

When I was in EOD one of our instructors told us that the Nuclear Demolitions Charges (for blowing up dams and other infastructure targets) were issued with a bicycle because of the short delay timer on the nuke. How fast can you pedal????

    Auctions observations

Drip pans were part of Basic Issue Items (BII)....after you bought one or two you remembered to pick them up. Lots of guys were bad about running over them.

    deuce breakdown?

You have to remember that most military vehicles spent their lives in a motor pool among their friends. It is their natural state......they are not happy being alone. It is actually cruel to keep them by themselves. A lonely deuce is an unhappy deuce....that's why they break down....in the...

    Anti Tank M1008s....no joke...

Tankers take it very personally when someone tries to blow up their mobile pill box. Unless they have a real good defilade they probably have a very short life expectantcy.

    deuce breakdown?

    And thus..........the addiction.........begins..............MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    New Guy From Louisiana

Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Accademy.:cookoo: You are headed down the slippery slope of MV addiction with a bunch of guys that will grease the skids as you go by. We won't just help you....we will help you help yourself. Again...welcome to the madness. Watch out for that...

    M916 / MK17 Hybrid Build

If you are going to do the crew cab using two regular cabs I would consider putting them back to back and have suicide doors since they are narrower at the front.

GL watch list doesn't show trucks after auction ends

Or go in and put in the minimum bid (do this just as soon as the auction starts)...the item will then show up on your active bid list. Even if you don't bid again you can follow the item until the end of the auction and after.

    Tanks etc from Ft Knox

The Old Bear and me have our friendly rivalry but I can say that I have met very few people that are as commited to honoring veterans and their families as him and the CAMO crew. PB will also go above and beyond to help a soldier if he is down. But that is what us old NCO's live for....taking...

120mm is a BFG.....could you mean the recoiless rifle????

    Deuce Frame Rail Height

The max legal highth for trailers on the road is 13'6". By law all power lines, cables etc must be higher than that. Any bridge less than that has to have warning signs posted well before you get to them. That is not to say that out in the boonies you may not run into a low hanging line or...

HOW CAN GL sa I have 10 days only open 3 days in the 10.

You might check and see if there is a fellow SS member near the base that can pick up and hold for you. All you have to do is fax a signed pick up authorization and paid receipt to the GL rep at the site and someone can get it for you.

Anybody win the M818 at Ft. Riley? WOW!!

I have seen very low milage rebuilds go for less than that.:cookoo:
