    Tanks etc from Ft Knox

I have the dubious destinction of have gone through basic training twice at Fort Knox. I went there in 1972, (Bravo Eight Four) and then again in 1984 due to re-enlisting after a long break in service. It was not any easier on the second go round. Both times I was in the old wooden barracks...

The cubies are good. I used to set mine out in the sun during the summer months.....a couple of days out in the boiling Alabama sun and most of the bad stuff will settile out.....pump out all but the last few inches. I save the dregs for starting fires.....veggie burns very hot.

Be very sure that only fryer oil is going into your supply....not gunk out of the grease trap, off the grill or from any other source. You will play ell filtering that stuff. If you are getting clean fryer oil it sounds like you have a good system for getting the crunchies out and...

"Deuce and a half or Half a Deuce?" I am new

Bobbing is not a job for the faint of heart and thin of wallet unless you have excellent fab skills, a good shop and some expert design input. A butcher job will get you or somebody else killed. Next best thing is a standard deuce with super single radials up to about 395's. I'm...

convert a srw to a dually

Are you going to keep the stock bed......without the "thunder thighs" fenders it will look goofy. You might consider a flatbed...then you can have stacks. Nothing says big truck like stacks.

curious about way to bob a deuce

I have a M275 and am considering doing the same thing. I would use a flatbed since a M105 bed has the fenders on it for a single axle. Set the bed high enough up to keep the 5th wheel on...it would only be a few inches higher than a stock bed on a deuce. I plan to make mine detachable so I can...

    Field-expedient Deuce tire lift technique

Have you considered a quick detach crane? Maybe a piece of pipe mounted to the side of the bed that you could slip the mast of the hoist into and lock it in with a pin. You could fabricate one out of a hand winch and some pipe. As my lawyer used to say "where there's a will there's a relative".

    Have you named you truck?

My last M915 was "Jessica" after the Allman Brothers song of the same name. I had a Freightliner named Rachel Dee.....since I never had a daughter. The yard deuces and the M275 are still unnammed.

Do you have a load back....there is a SS member that has a M820 expando van (I think that is the right number) that needs to go out west. It is stored near Redstone...don't know if it will crank but we can prob get it pushed up on your trailer. I have access to the storage lot and four day...
