OK. There is probably nothing wrong with your transfer case! Assuming this is the M54 you are working on, your transfer case is the sprag type. The front drive shaft is slightly overdriving the rear shaft, and the sprags (overrunning clutch, like a starter drive) do not engage. If your rear...- rdixiemiller

Jeff Do you have the tech manual to troubleshoot the transfer case? If not, I can probably send it to you. I had a few hours to kill the other day at work, so I downloaded about 500 megs of 5 ton manuals. Regards Robert Miller- rdixiemiller
