I pull my two M871 trailers with my two M915A1 tractors using the 7 pin commercial cables. I have the military 24 volt cables in the trucks aswell. I also pull these trailers wits my two M931 tractors using the 24 volt military cables.I have ha ex pretty good luck so far. I have converted the...
Yeah, both of those trucks looked good. I liked the fact the had the mud flap kits on them. And they had them driving around in the videos, thats always a big plus. And yours has the hard top iI remember correctly. And yes I am a hard core OD junkie!
I have bought2 M931 tractors and one M931A1 tractor, none required EUC. My M936 Wrecker did require
the EUC. Which tractor did you get in Santa Fe? I was thinking about them and did place low bids but decided
with four tractors I'd rather wait and get something else, M923/M925/M929 etc.
Nice truck! I am considering selling my deuce to upgrade to an M923 or M925.
Since I already have three other M939 series trucks it would make it better for filter and parts
interchangeabilty. More road speed and power steering ( although my deuce has the air assisted steering
its nothing like...
Yeah, kinda funny why theres no pins. I did notice that MajMalfunctions toolbox had the vice in it (in the pics posted). On my BII list in the tool box the vice wasn't called for. Guess he got lucky!
Just rearranged the toolbox today to fit the tow bar and wiffletree, I wouldn't want them to disappear! I need to find some pins for the wiffletree also.
My M936 is insured with progressive. Its not insured as a wrecker but as a crane truck. It is insured as commercial but my personal use only. Wrecker license from the state are way to expensive here and I not interested in using the truck commercialy my agent basically said if I had it insured...
Yes, I forgot to mention that part (getting older and more forgetful ) but yes you do need to pass a physical and carry a medical card with you. You have to renew the medical card every two years.
Don't think we are as technically advance out here to where they send you a reminder (maybe they...
Well I have had my CDL for 13 years so it may have changed abit. You go and get the manuals study and take a computer test and then they will issue you a permit (learners permit) where you must drive with a current CDL holder.I am not sure if there is a certain about of hours driving required...
Weight distance plates are for vehicles over 26,001 lbs (excluding RV's) that will only be used within New Mexico
IR plated ( intrastate regulated) are the plates trucks have to cross state lines.
I am not sure if the M 923A1 would qualify for historical plates in New Mexico ( I don't know the...
Chances of getting the truck licensed as an R.V. are very unlikely. You will probably have to go with Weight distance license plates (good in New Mexico only) and they will end up costing up to $174.50 per year.
Well, for one your truck has air brakes so you will need an air brake endorsement on your drivers license. I don't think you can get that unless you get the class E or class A,or B license. My advice is to go ahead and get the class B CDL , Its not that difficult and will eliminate any problems...
