I think the 40 MPH was an ABS thing. Lots of search info on the subject. Good info even with the ABS. When it doesn't test right how fast should you drive and why. I digress. Sorry.:deadhorse:
I gotta agree that every time you go over convoy speed you are rolling the dice not only for yourself but all those around you. These are huge trucks designed to cross the roadless battlefield.
As somebody said, "good common sense sure helps". Drive safe out there.
Thanks for the alignment info. Now to get rid of the oil. I flushed it twice with some dishwasher soap added and it looks better but a couple of times more won't hurt
Good luck,
Whatever you decide to do. If you have a smartphone I recommend Tapatalk. Not while at the wheel though. If you are in a big jam some guys will call you a dumby but most will do what they can to help getting you back on the road.
Fuel is expensive and would not even consider...
The low lifes in most cities can get into the snapon truck if you leave it unattended. These are the guys you are supporting when you buy those cheap tools from the guy your brother-in-law knows.
Paint it like a MV and they might not mess with it in daylight.
Good luck!
Saw lots of mules when flying into firebases in Vietnam. I doubt that any went outside the wire though. Great machine to carry ash and trash around a small area.
I have a 932 also. For $1800 you can get a 24v lift kit from C&C. I don't know the specs but they have put several on dueces and 5 tons.
I have the 5th wheel and ramps off mine. Looking for a drop side .
Just about every descent sized city has an OSHA approved sling and cable shop. A cable snapping and coming at you at a zillion miles an hour is not the way I want leave the forum.
