I dont know if you can work your magic on a M715, but here it is:
Serial No. 17464
Hood Registration No. 3G0899
Fed Stock No. 23209216366
Found it with a 4-SALE sign on the side of Hwy 18 in Mississippi
Left Bumperette S124
Right Bumperette B95
I believe these to be the original numbers...
What a coincidence. I have a deuce and a set of tracks for our skid steer. Maybe I could link 2 tracks together to fit over the tires. Where is my tape measure.......
Is anybody else's wife tired of hearing about finding a tank in the bushes? Sounds like the makings of a fun get-together in November. I would definately try to come. So what is the name of this local museum?
In Mississippi I bought the cheapest tag I could get. $28.50 one time for life for an antique tag as long as I agreed that it is strictly for hobby/pleasure and no commercial. Then again, I live in Mississippi so I could use the truck for whatever I want and get away with it. A B16 tag for...
I recovered a truck 2 weeks ago that had a front tire that was off the rim. Looks like it had been driven a ways like that. Fortunately I had brought a 3/4" drive set and the spare was OK. The pictures didn't show it. I still havent seen a truck with a jack and a lug wrench.
Haggerty. Tell them that it is garage kept and you are in. My antique policy (which already had 3 vehicles on it) increased $17 a year when I added the deuce. My good friend is my agent, but i belive it was all done legit.
I have mine through Haggerty. I have my CJ-7, 1950 Plymouth, M715 and deuce on the policy and the total premiuum is less than $200/year for everything. I have state minimum coverage and I sort of told the agent that they were all garage kept. They did not have a category for trucks that big, so...
I agree with vtach. Drive it! My recovery was a lot shorter than yours (only 200 miles) and I had a trailer lined up, but at the last minute somebody convinced me to drive it and I am glad I did. I had a chase truck with everything imaginable (fluids, air tools, compressor, welder, etc.) and the...
I can follow the pictures, but someone should do a video and put it on SS or youtube on the entire process. One of the old mechanics where I used to work made me very paranoid about even standing next to a vehicle that had split rims (even though there are 10 in my driveway). I have a deuce tire...
I have witnessed that same sales trick! Glad to know how it works. My opinion is that grease is grease, unless it is for a specific purpose like high temp or waterproof. Auto Zone sells different grease for chevys, fords, chryslers, etc and I betcha its all the same.
Just wanted to show ya'll a picture of the new deuce in the driveway. The day before I went to pick it up I gave my wife a new purse and told her that I bought another Jeep. Surprise! Drove home about 100 miles with no problems at all. When I got home I had to adjust the clutch and parking...
