Just visited the museum last month. Well worth the trip. FYI, there's a little hamburger stand about a half mile west of the place that makes awesome cheeseburgers. Unfortunately, the name of the joint slips my mind.
Mine's a little different. I relocated the fuel tank and batteries to a locking contractors tool box in the bed. The square look of the tool box fits with the look (at least I think it does). It allows me to secure the fuel and batts as well as gives me a place for tools, retractable air...

Did you ever find out anything more about the gauge? I have a similar situation. After checking voltages with a digital meter, my voltage while running is 27.5 but the gauge reads at the very high end of the green indicator. Clearly beyond the tic mark almost into the red. I'd really...
Wheels are from OD Iron and tires are Michelin XML's. I have a set of Michelin XL's that I also got from OD Iron that are much nicer and I'm going to swap out the XML's for them soon.

Absolutely! I'm so lucky that I got great advice from you and other members on this site. Here are a couple of pictures of the tool box. They aren't that great. My camera battery died and I had to take these with my cell phone. I'll post some better shots tomorrow. The Knaack box...
