gringeltaube, your pictures shows the part I cut off, but I had a plate built to use the 20 bolts around the outside to mount the plate to the wheel and not a weld on job. my rims looked like these
never thought about leaving the lip on the rim, wonder if they build up with dirt and water? I had a local place make my plates and then took a plasma to the lip . I love the trucks with the 395 tires, it makes them stand out .
Went to the BMV in Indiana and signed up for the permanent military registration and they gave me a envelope to send 3 pictures in of my registration numbers on the truck one of the back one of each side, I can only find one under the hood and on the id dash plate. The lady couldn't tell...
just looked at a salvage yard , there was a m135 with a multi fuel put in it, looks like they cut the firewall and tucked the back one or two cyl inside the cab. Next time I'm there I can get picture if you all want.
Thanks Doghead, i have read most of them or at least looked over them. my problem is they read like they were written for Larry , Moe and Curly. I do own a deuce its a 1987 Air force m35a2c, I put 395 tires it . I work on ag equipment and have for over 20 years, I rebuild Tractors ...
Great threads guys, I would have never thought about the air brake lines, also Woody , that Train must have made people look. would have loved to see it.
I did a search on Tow bars and couldn't find any answers to my question . I was hopping some people would chime in with some real life tales on do's and don'ts. Also common sense comes with experience and I have not worked with a tow bar. But thanks to the people who take time to answer...
can someone show me a picture of two deuces hooked up with a tow bar, I can't wrap my mind around how it would steer around turns, I assume they hook to the top bumper eye hoods with a pin. but the steering part eludes me . thanks
I work at at tractor shop , I also went to injection pump school , those ambec injectors need to be adjusted with shims and run on a bench pop off tester to see the pressure is set to proper specs. they really should be cleaned with a ultrasonic cleaner before the new tips are installed , one...
The only thing I can see is a carbon buildup on the rings and valves . I would love to take apart a engine with 50,000 miles of wmo use??? When I take apart a engine with stuck rings or broken , the valves have a thick layer of carbon buildup and need to be bead blasted off even to be ground...
did you take .187 from the high side? I found about .140 takes you back to level on my set. It drives great now, still a slight bit of play in the wheel, but its a truck not a BMW.
i just put on a set as well, (20 bolt rims) they seem to turn better than the stock NDT's They look great , get the others put on you'll love it . the back hubs took about a hour a hub if you get with it , clean them up and repack .
