I disagree with most on the 6.2 Liter engine. I say this becuase I purchased one of the first 6.2 litre applications built by GM in 1981 in a GMC 1500 4x4 application. After 586k on the truck, I passed it to my brother who is still driving it today. I did replace pump and injectors twice in the...
The "capped" line is a vent line and recommend not removing even with gasser swap. HODGEB is right, there should be two steel hardlines coming up from the tank on the framerail.
Quick Down and Dirty Exhaust Fix
The attached pics show a simple down and dirty exhasut conversion for M939 Series. We simply cut the exisiting pipe under the cab with a sawzall and bolt all the items pictured in place. Then add hanger brankets wherever we want to once the bed is installed. One...
Many thanks guys for all the compliments. Sorry I didn't answer sooner. Was out of the office yesterday and last night. To answe a couple of the questions:
1. The headlights work fabulous. We set the height the front bumper to not impede the headlights. Of course, if you notice, the headlights...
Many thanks. We got this truck basically in pieces. I saw remnants of the data plate that had imprinted is was built in 1967 by Kaiser. Which model would it be then?
That was one of our first bumper builds and I was a little "iffy" on it myself. We've changed all our bumper designs to the ones we put on M939 Series now.

Thanks for the advice and idea. I'm an International Truck dealer as well so I may just order me some visors for a older model Paystar and adapt them. Thanks again!
LOL. The front turret with 300GPm and 110 psi would sure do the zombies some damage. There is video on our Youtube site of a Department in Devine, Texas pushing down trees (little ones albeit). Is it legal to post our youtube site on here? Sorry, I'm a newbie...
Good questions. Performance is fabulous and we have even ran up to 2000 gallons on a extended wheel base. M939s will do a 30 degree angle of approach and departure and 30 deggree side slope with 1650 gallons of water. We've got some performance video on our Youtube site but I'm not sure I can...
I posted earlier photos of our M939 Series Brush Truck conversions and am now posting some we did early on that we did for the Corpus Christi Texas Fire Department on M54 chassis. The trucks were repowered with Cummins 6CTA 8.3 and MT654. Some of equipment and apparatus added were:
1000 Gallon...
