    Radioactive Deuce?

Not to say you're full of it, BUT you didn't even get the name of the agency correct. It's Customs and Border Protection. I never said no one on this board does anything technical for a living, and I'm inclined to believe you from the detail of your post. The reason I'm telling you that your...

    Radioactive Deuce?

And what orifice did you pull this "statistic" from? :cookoo: No, really. I would like you to back that up with facts.

    Radioactive Deuce?

100% screening of all passengers, conveyences, cargo, etc. entering the country. When I get the M35 up here with me I'll check the inside of the cab with my PRD (personal radiation detector).

Took a ride in a CUCV III today

I got to go for a little ride on the TARMAC at Joint Base Charleston today out to a C-17. I also noticed a few CUCV IIs parked along the forklifts and miscellaneous trucks. I'm sure they will be auctioned at some point. I checked the mileage on this one, too. It was 65k. The ride was nice, too...

    Many thanks to Floridianson

Definitely, and if he (or anyone else on here for that matter) needs help in or around Charleston all you have to do is ask. [thumbzup]

Thanks to csmdavis, my M1009 recovery wasn't too bad

This is a little overdue because it's been a little over a month now, but I still need to thank Jeff (csmdavis) for all his help. He was a life saver. I won a kinda rough M1009 from Camp Shelby. Myself, my father and my brother-in law drove to Hattiesburg, MS on a Saturday morning. From...

    Many thanks to Floridianson

I posted a thread asking if anyone can pick up a front Dana 44 that would be a direct bolt-on for my M1009, it's even got 3.08 gears already. Floridianson (James) immediately gave me his phone number. My CUCV, and everything else I own are still in Tampa while I moved to Charleston, SC to...

how to check hydroboost.. goes right to the floor

That was the problem in my M1009 when I picked it up. Had no power steering and barely any brakes. Filling the power steering reservoir with fluid fixed both problems but the fluid drained slowly from the steering box. My truck is in FL with all the rest of my stuff but my dad says the box may...

    1985+ Frame Supports?

I'll be darned, after not finding anything on the first couple searches I was a little more creative in my search strings and found this post: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/cucv/52083-model-year-differences.html#post594827 I then found said TM with a quick Google search and came up with this...

    1985+ Frame Supports?

I read on here that the 1985+ CUCVs had some kind of frame supports added about at the firewall. Does anyone have any more info on them, or perhaps a picture so I can see what it is I either have or am missing? Mine is a 1985 model year M1009 made in October 1984. Thanks.

    No brakes

When my dad bought our M35A2 it was advertised on the GL auction as having no brakes. Sure enough, it had no brakes. The pedal just went right to the floor, and nothing happened. $25 and a master cylinder rebuild kit later I have working brakes. It takes longer to get the master cylinder out...

Is anyone near Green Cove Springs, FL?

I'm in SC now, but all my wordly possessions are still in Tampa. I'm hopefully going to close on a house the end of next month, if everything goes smoothly. There is an axle I would really, really, really like to buy for my CUCV in Green Cove Springs but since I can't pick it up with my Crown...
