Hydroboost sources?
My power steering pump is over flowing when I use my brakes. I think a new hydroboost might fix it. I already replaced the pump and took the oil cooler out of the circuit.
Better, bigger filter, much less suction on the CDR. Didn't use any without a filter in it. The paper filter is 8" around instead of six, and twice as long. Having eggs and bacon, then on the road. 4 long years, finally moving.
Tomorrow, the good Lord willing, I'm on my to Virginia with a 10k trailer in tow. Even with the weight hitch it squats the truck a bit. The 4l80 was built heavy and is working fine. Charged the breakaway battery, dual sway controls, class 5 hitch, 14 ply tires. If the engine and the parts...
It's a new air cleaner installed at the same time as the turbo and injection pump. Between all that and the power steering, I missed it.
Both are in silicone elbows post filter, pre turbo.
Something else occurred to me. With the air filter such a restriction as it has been, maxing out the suction gauge I installed. It must have been pulling on the CDR like an s.o.b.
It looks just like mine.By seal, I think he means the oil seals / gaskets, not a vacuum leak. Your vacuum pump is for the transmission.
Oil be blown all over by the fan. Try cleaning it off and with it well lifted up front on stands, and wheels blocked in back, lay under it and watch.
Mine is...
I'll check the turbo drain, good to know. Doesn't do it all the time. My air intake is homemade and the newerish CDR runs to the suction side of the turbo air feed, post filter. Turbo is new, offshore manufacture. The old one had some leakage too. I'll pull the drain hose.
Turbo is new and smoke is grey. I can't figure it out. If it was feeding into the turbo that much, wouldn't it go runaway? The heads we're spot on when I pulled them and put studs in. Is it possible it is only leaking under boost? I don't see how, as the coolant is fine.
I don't where, but my oil drops when I drive it.. I laid under it for nearly a half hour and no leaks. I put cardboard under it and revved it, no leaks. I drive it around the block, about 3 miles, lots of hills, lots of turbo boosting, come home, down a pint. Any ideas?
If you use a double pole, double throw switch you can have power into the middle on one half, and the top or bottom terminal to the valves.
The other side of the switch, you run each tank gauge wire into the top and bottom terminals, which one where depends on what tank is your primary. The...
On mine, I had to use a shorter tank on the passenger side. I couldn't get the mounts to both line up with the frame holes. I went with a pair of solenoid valves, one for supply, one for return. If you use a double throw switch, it can change tanks and gauges together. I tried a fancy...
Use 30r14 rated hose. Even if you have to go online for it. Also, use hose barbs with rounded barbs, not sharp. The hose has a thin lining in it. Having the hose hang down the side of the tank is a great idea.
Found a return line from the hydro boost that in schematic was a hard line. Mine was soft. Looked like it may have been kinking when it got hot and soft. Hoping at least.
