    the one i used is also polarized. i would have to take the blower shroud off to tell you for shure how it is hooked up. but from what i can remember the positive side was hooked to the terminal strip and the negitive grounded under the terminal strip mounting screw. hope this helps

    at 60 hertz you should be at 1800 rpm try spraying the linkage with pb blaster or wd-40 what ever you have these clean as well as lube never idle or let it run below 60 hertz or you will cook the ac voltage regulator
